  1. Well, by your description in the first post, I think its no good. You should sell it to me, I'm local to where it is stored even. Engine rebuilds/reseals on ea81s are not that tricky. If you have any mechanical history, some tools, and a haynes manual; you're golden. Plus if you come up with blanks or questions, you have this amazing board of experts here to help you. Thats an awesome looking Brat. The turbo ones are deffinately hard to find and those wheels on it even harder to find. Best of luck, and I'll be watching to see how this turns out.
  2. Yeah thats the SVX Pacecar. Both of these cars are at the Subaru of America headquarters. They have several others too... all of them amazing. I guess pink was cool at the time...
  3. Whoa! I've seen this car online before... What part of the country is this Brat in?
  4. I posted up a video for this a while back: Looks like a lot of fun.
  5. I'm not sure, hopefully GD will post up pictures in a build thread of all the interior goodies. I know the rx's that have the checkered seats usually came with checkered seatbelts. So maybe this one has red seatbelts? And a red headliner? We will have to see.
  6. The project GD is taking on. EJ22 swap gone wrong. Has the rare "pimp interior". Do want.
  7. If the manifold looks like this: (says turbo) If it doesn't look like that ^^^ its probably not turbo:
  8. A '85 GL with Auto Tranny No T-Tops... Is it Turbo??? I think you have a pretty rare find there. Since most people opted for the Brat platforms with options, these base models are seldom found.
  9. I ended up getting what I wished for, more snow. Pics can be found in post 125 and 126 in the snow pics thread. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=119313&page=13
  10. If you sell it, you will regret it.
  11. Whoa! What is the width of those tires? They look awesome! Stock wheels too...
  12. Thursday, Ice rain hit and made a lot of trees and plants in our neigborhood fall over. This caused the power to go out. Bamboo plants in my yard. A large tree in our driveway bent over and broke off. Thawed out the Brat and have been using it to run errands these past snow-filled-days. The snow is like second nature to this thing. I see idiots everywhere that are stuck or driving five miles an hour. I wave to them as I pass them. I love my subie. The power finally came back on today. Way to go PSE.
  13. Hope you guys like lots of pictures. Its been a very eventful past couple days: Wednesday I went boarding with my dad up to Crystal Mountain in the family Loyale. What I woke up to in the morning (no snow the night before) Hwy 410 On the slopes Pops Myself The camera had a hard time focusing in the dark on the way home. The antenna, once we arrived home. More snow was waiting for us when we got home.
  14. The big axle nut on the hubs are what require tons of tourqing. Those are somewhere over 100 ft/lbs.
  15. First car: 1988 GL wagon. Then I owned a 1982 Brat GL for a little while. Third car (still have and currently a project) 1986 GL wagon. 5spd d/r And my fourth and current car; 1985 Brat GL These are just the runners. I also have 3 parts cars. 1986 wagon 1982 brat gl 1982 brat dl I'm sure there will be more subes in my future.
  16. I hear those cameras are pretty nice, I like the footage that comes from them. Do they also take pictures? I want one. Nice score. I'm so thankful that the Seattle/ Puget Sound areas refuses to use salt and some chemical deicers.
  17. Had some fun in the snow and ice with her.
  18. More snow came down, and I just had to go do some doughnuts in it.
