Vi-Pec V88, and my mod case mount to make it sit in the factory spot like oem that i did. fits like a glove fits right where subaru put the original oem 1986

here is another idea that might work for you also that my father came up with on my car. the hill holder ! get a cable made right to the e brake and it will work amazing like factory its simple fast and less work to fab up stuff. also the hill holder holds on one wheel in the rear and one in the front after ill change it to both rear.
-

i dont really know what size the wheel is sorry. but i did figure out how to make the horn work perfect. the inner ring is the horn ring so what i did was make like a big coil spring with some not to thick steel wire. ill have to show you hard for me to explain. wire is all most like coat hanger wind it up like a spring and it works perfect. AWIC pipes and other bits which is moving along nice and smooth. couple back order stuff which is killing me ! summer is all most done.
-
nice you got it !! let me know what you do to make the horn work. you have to take the clock spring off just the center section. ill put a pic up of how to make the horn work right i have a idea.
-
i didnt want to add this but i need a bigger opening or else i could not use 2nd 4th 6th or R gear !.. so STi plate with boot, just waiting for the bolts to come in now.

Ya it's turning out to be really good for how old styling it has glad you like how it looks so far Lol thanks man ... It's cool that I found such a perfect car to work with or else it would have never happend

my brand new Bosch 044, these fittings are from the UK for the ford cosworth ! who would have guessed the Leone had the same set up !! my hsd front camber plates came in ! thank you JRP for letting me do what i had to do to get my suspension all sorted out !!. the front is a bit to low, which will come up after corner balance and aliment get worked out. i wouldnt want the honda crowd thinking i want to race lol.

so i got the oem brackets you where talking about. put them on Franz crazy at work on my wiring, this is only half the paper work on my stuff. and the pin porn for the wiring he is doing for my hole car ! r180 ready for service !

LOL i solved my own problem. so the oem gl-10 axle (25 spline) are shorter and that's what i need for my swap. what i did was put legacy 90 94 FWD (25 spline) cv joints on the gl-10 axle to make a perfect fit.
-
thank you Numbchux thats a very good post with a lot of info !! thank you very much. what i was thinking of doing is getting the xt6 front shafts open them up and mix the knuckle outer joint with one that is off of the impreza/legacy or even try the sti ones to mix the race and cage to make this shorter shaft work. the shaft on the gl-10 is about 2inch shorter but no race will go on this shaft even trying to mix the race with other race cages. the gl-10 race is just to big ! if i dont find a combo for the front, i know the rear xt6 shafts are shorter as well. so i might order a set of rear and mix the rear up with some fronts to get this working. i think this STi 6mt sits allot lower in my car do to the tunnel being a little small. when i put on the front cv from say legacy fwd the shafts sit perfect stright out. normal subarus have them on a angle going up to the tranny this might be my problem.
-
Ok see the first shaft at the bottom of the pic is a brand new oem impreza or legacy shaft The secon shaft with no joints plain empty is the gl-10 one see how short it is This is the table of mess LOL And I managed to mix rear xt6 with Jdm version 8 inner joints to make the r180 work. The shafts are small so they might blow up on a hard launch I think.
-
See I have the stubs in my 6mt, I put them in. The problem with say a oem factory old school cv shaft is in my car is there to long. If I could change the joints on the shaft of the gl-10 turbo it would work perfect because they are shorter. When I put in my impreza or legacy shaft, STi are a little longer I have no play at all. The shaft are perfect parallel straight. I might order one factory xt6 shaft and see if it's as short as my gl-10 ones. I'm post some pictures on all the shafts and million races cages I been messing around to make this work. The gl-10 has thes huge splinds which nothing go on maybe a xt6 might ??

im having a little problem with the front cv axles on my 1986 subaru gl-10 turbo build. the problem is that the newer style subaru cv axles are to long in my car. what is in the car as of now is impreza/legacy 5x100 knuckles, xt6 control arms, and a STi 6mt. i been trying to mix and match race and shafts with all years of subarus to get a short shaft. the shaft perfect in length for this set up i have would be the factory oem 1986 subaru gl-10 turbo shaft, but the 25 spline is so different nothing fits on it. am i missing something in this build ? are the xt6 front cv axles the ones i need to make this work ? are the xt6 cv axles short like my oem factory subaru 1986 gl-10 turbo ones ? any help would be greatly appreciated !

holy crap man how you been ? its been so long since i heard or talk to you i hope everything is going well !! and your brat is looking good nice work you done on it so far !!

i sold my legacy they way it was ! just the 18inch bbs rims and tires i kept. so its all together in my city ripping around still. my buddy owns it. yes XT6 was taken apart for sure ! i got it dirt cheap for parts and the body was rusted out so i didnt care. well rear is all done suspension knuckles and rims tires and my amazing light weight battery came in and its in my winter beater to keep it warm for when the Leone is done my old school momo hub found in germany !!! flowmaster hush muffler !! only thing that can fit on this little car ! this is what my tip will look like after i weld it all up. but with a foot of pipe in the middle of the two. my pipe 3' 304 polished
-
they fit on the front not to bad at all its the rear i think we will have a problem but tomorrow will see when i do the rear. my 205/45/16 RE11 are on the way should be here some time next week but for now these will do for moving the car.
-
well this is the tie rod problem taken care of, its simple and works perfect like ! top is xt6 legacy impreza middle gl-10 turbo last is whiteline new style what you do is chop the end off so you can toe in the car like factory ! light weight knuckles ! top secret so the competition dont know ! 4pot ready for action ! brembos maybe in the future but who cares really when your going to be this light and fast lol rear just started so sunday all done. the rear suspension is all old school up top and coilover down town, ill show how i did it very easy to do and keeps all the oem rubbers for when i pick up the ladys and its a nice soft ride ! HeLLaFLuSH for all you pimping OG's out there !....... these wheels are just to roll it out the shop on monday ! i like to go HELLaFAST LOL. bed time

ya its starting to come along really nice now ! and what Numbchux also about pump. ya i could not find what the canister did in the books what does it really do ? so it controls the heater controls ? so i need to put it back in a different spot i take it ! which sensor controls the turbo on the dash ? Bosch 044 fuel pump, need some angle fitting and done. rear mustache bar is ready to hold the R180 just need to make a bracket for the front of the diff and done.
