Lol the impreza is just a dd no turbos at all unless I can't find a complete h6 smashed to use then I'll toss in a Jdm set up on a ej22t block. well cooler bits arrived now got to figure out should i tap for threads or use hose and clamps system. STi JDM Spec-C, RA-R, S204, S203, oil cooler adapter

well the season is done for me and I got out on the track a couple times more for fun to test out my new brake pad's, the pad's helped out a bit more but still need more work. PFC 01 compound group N pad's work well very well, lots of dust but rather stop then not. S203 S204 Spec-c Ra R oil cooler adapter factory from subaru oem has come in. built in thermostat opens at 100 C and OEM Made In Japan By STi no other adapter is better ! my spare earls cooler should do the job, got rid of A/C for this set up lol I put the 86 Subaru Leone away for the season but next year to do lit will be fun. wider sticky tires + smaller wheels 15" Race gas tune 500hp DD it better suspension stiffer springs STi oil cooler BRZ koyo rad install bigger CV axles i also was going to swap out my STi Spec-c 6mt 3.900 to my S204 STi 6mt 3.545, but its now in my winter beater (99 Nico). i think my winter beater will be more in need of longer gearing next spring when i do the motor swap. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2558289

o ya its pretty intense with this small car lol no canada KMh ... USA MPH yes I went to the track to try my luck and see if it all holds together this past week, after doing one pass on the q-mile and getting kicked off for no helmet ! I managed to pull a 12.6 out. I know I know my times suck out the box ! I dont want to snap my axles or leave my Diff on the floor ! so I took off bogging in first and not revving out 2nd or 3rd gear becuase the car likes to lay rubber in the rear tires. I am on the left Porsche 977 twin turbo on right... high boost button used so after getting kicked off i went lapping to see how well the car handles ! scary move lol.... my brakes are to small or weak so maybe better pads, and the car feels like it needs some wider tires and bracing to help keep it more stable. Low Boost On was used for lapping its to scary with high lol as of now its fun to play with till i fix things out http://instagram.com/p/dlEgg1J4ps/?igref=ogexp

o ya he dont F around this is what the dash looks like with night vision on so this is my new power level with working oil pump and front mount intercooler set up and the big s300sx FMW turbo on. so 21psi is safe for me, franz could have pumped more boost out but i need to get home to canada again just in case. old plot with new plot dyno dynamics both on american 93 gas ( Canadian 94 gas will gain a bit more) next will try race gas which will bring the power way up and over the top because I have lots of room to play with... as of now its just insane to keep it all under control while I am on it, so baby steps on my part while driving and my a/c blows nice and cold to keep me calm lol. so things I need to do are: maybe bigger rad (brz koyo) oil cooler lots of braces, one for the diff and a H brace up front with strut brace.

I got a quick clip pull on the hwy just need to figure how to up load it.. I would like to thank Franz and his familia for all the hospitality while I was down in the USA !... I had a blast down there and all most didn't want to come home. here we have Franz's amazing hand crafted one of a kind Leone intercooler piping that fits perfect and does a fantastic job keep the temps down and power up ! my new dash wired up by Franz, this time I can see and keep a eye on everything just in case something is not right. Franz's Dyno Dynamics tuning tool.... that fan in the back with the red EVO rally bumper on it !!! that thing will suck you in and spit you out the other side if you get to close !.. all sensors hooked up ready to rock and roll the proper way !.... so much eye candy OVER LOAD ! Franz's babys sided by side.... the EVO is just crazy !... its like a full blown race car and has EVERYTHING ! no joke !.. me I like the 86 Golf because I'm from the old school lol. looks amazing under this Golf's hood ! this car was on the dyno getting all dialed in by Franz... this Porsche has a full blown carbon fiber wide body kit twin turbos and is packing 500hp and 2000lbs.... its freaking fast and some other car's he's working on around the shop...

Ya it sucks I agree but I have to put it somewhere up front or else stupid tickets from the law Lol lol.... that's a good idea but it would never pass up here in Canada.. Appraisal wise 50 Gs ... So like a new STi price but with a spare built motor for back up.. 300lbs lighter then a stripped out STi with me and full tank of gas. Once I start getting crazy lol next year all seats and weight saving will be at 2350lbs. Thanks man Lol I been busy slacking. I tried to put it in but didn't finish it yet.. I cut the pegs of the top and the front brackets nipples with threads and squeezed it in place. Make sure you off set it a little closer the the drivers side because there is the head light bolt will touch.. Take your time when putting it in. The lower port needs shorting and if need be angled down a bit.. I'm cutting the bottom of rad frame next year when I pull the motor out again... Sorry guys I been busy but I'm heading to Virginia again to see my friend Franz @ Dieboldautosport for the rest of my work done on the car ill be down there for a couple days.. Intercooler pipes Aim dash A/c fixing And the tune for the power !!

i think it would make it look not even there yep your right they do come black but the new stuff is all left non painted now days, maybe its something to do with that or not i have no clue at all. about what i was told i dont know if it needs special or not he's the intercooler specialist not me, i asked him if i could paint that was the reply i got. i used that stuff on my old legacy turbo FMIC, it was the stuff i was going to use but not this time i guess lol. what Franz told me to do was measure my sender unit resistance and get the fuel vdo gauge that matches my resistance. its the only thing that wont work on the aim. on a side note my oem dig cluster does not rear full and i even replace the sender unit twice which did nothing to help. i have a oem gas tank and all oem and still wont work right. so i hope this vdo one will actual read proper for me. ill call bell intercoolers to see what place and paint he wants me to use i forget what he said. front bumper is painted and on, waiting from subaru for one more top rubber trim to finish it off. intercooler pipes are going to be made next week ! very excited its all most done. sits a little funny needs a readjusting better.
-
thats a very good question !.... i asked the same question to the builder of my intercooler when i got it. he told me you cant paint it with normal style paint it needs a special paint from a company which I forgot from who again. why special painting i asked !.. normal painting will lose power from the cooler... I really didn't ask the details thats why its still not painted lol, ill trust the experts with my expensive buy ! what I really wanted to do was paint the top half white like the bumper skin and bottom half black to mask it in there, i bet from 20 feet away it would have look super stock. maybe one day ill get it done like that. decide to change the cluster set up cant have it the other way, so my scrap yard cluster came in and I made a template out of paper then on aluminium. just need turn lights, VDO fuel guage, high beams and its ready to be put in after paint job. that's not the oem cluster out my car ! I have it put away. test fit looks good
-
so far this is how i mounted the aim cluster but i think i will change it once my spare cluster comes in from the scrap yards. the flush mount should look much better if it fits. also from japan ! L'aunsport http://www.launsport.com/ WRC hood vents from GR Subaru model. Eita is a great guy even sent me books on subarus and mesh. these vents are like subaru america rally car ones with out the hole trim, they have the L shape thing and just cut out.

well its been a while, i have been running the motor in a bit all is good ! even beat it up a bit with out a intercooler on she feels good. what i have been doing to get it done so far is all this stuff. Recaro seats are both in & i think best freaking seat out there hands down !.. my favourite mod for sure there that good. so i got the intercooler mounted, she looks ok so far. so instead of cutting the only mint condition bumper cover left on the plant rare to the Canadian models of the GL-10, I found some scrap yard in West coast Canada that had 2 skins with full Re-Bar set up. just need to paint the lower section white like the original I have put away for safe keeping. also who would have new that the BRZ rad is the same size and thicker with the bigger ports !.. its needs a bit of work to put in but same size and 2 Row ! and to make sure I can view all my sensors a AIM MXL Strada
-
ill let you know, its got allot of silver sparkle in it and those stickers are painted right in the paint yep, the ride hight goes up and down via switch he put in not bad so far so the broken spun rod bearing motor with the wiseco pistons and manley rods is alive !! motor #1 EJ22T she lives and is running ok ! but that was just to bleed coolant and do the flush and check everything over. OK SUBARU ! motor #2 (aka the spare), EJ22T with wiseco pistons (@ machine shop getting fitted), Carillo Rods, ACL race bearings. thanks to Dov@NVauto for my pistons and rods ! i picked this time around the super light weight SA rods from carrillo ! on my turbo legacy i used the very expensive and rugged H beam version. ill try something different with the spare. the seat base creation like the passenger i had to make. its all 304L SS so no rust after 50years !... tig weld and we are good to go !..
-
this is my machine shop guys car he got it brand new in 1986 xt6, only paint was done like 15years ago on it. i been dying for him to sell it to me for the past 10years lol its got like 80,000kms
-
for the cold air intake i all ways just stick a short pipe and huge filter on it. i could make a box but once its tuned like that its ok. it will get a bit of hot air but when moving on hwy speed it gets cooler. i just make a duct to the side for fresh air, there is allot of dirt in the fenders i dont want to lift the car to see the filter change pain in the but. but a proper made box is the best like you said ! maybe in the future plans. i was thinking mine was to big LOL beam is sliced up and Reinforced ready to go !.. thank you Nam@NVauto for letting me use that fantastic plasma cutter you own !... short work beats the old hack saw way for sure, i need one for my place in the future. the cooler sure is not small lol, overkill in size for sure but for the future well planned out 6" thick lol
-
The cooler was special made for me supports 600whp so it's kind of the only shape that will fit. If your running less power they a smaller would fit perfect for you, ya for off road use it could get bashed up but the benefit is worth it in front. You should look into maybe mounting a STi one in front that way you can replace them if damaged or dual mount.. There is so much room under the fender wells it's crazy.
-
Some how some way this has to go in there lol. Not even scared left hand side hole, also new style power steering resvior to acomadate the hole. Battery mounted flat with right and side hole.
-
nice seat work wish mine was that easy
-
one invented bracket later ( thanks to Vin@NVauto for welding me the brackets) Alfa Romeo dual lock Sliders ( parts my dad likes to keep from the 1960's lol) one down next one to go while i wait for the intercooler that is on its way for tomorrow. Recaro VW Jetta gli seats (Franz idea put into action)

my bad i forgot not to use photobucket
-
it will look all right once done, its still a sleeper just not from the front section thats all lol in the end air to air is easy and works the best, AWIC are good but pluming water pumps fittings so on and so on. my Air 2 Air will be less weight and work better for the power ill be making. the set up I made is ok for a daily driver with modest power well its all back together, with A/C !! i am super excited to have A/C back in the car, which means those hot summer days in the rain i can see out the fog windows, on the hwy i can roll up the windows so its nice and quiet in the car driving along.
-
ill make it nice !.. its one of those things that needed to be done sooner or later lol inspiration for my front mount intercooler ! Bell Intercoolers drawings for my new Air To Air all most there, everything reused from dead bearing #4. cleaned up the front with Degreaser, time to plan out the new intercooler set up. looks good with out the bumper lol
-
yep i have full stand alone with every sensor pluged in to view in the lap top, i need one of those fancy race dash which is next so i can shut it off right away. oil pick is mint I'm re using it, the one in the pic with the block on the floor. cornering is another problem but mine was not even on the road which makes me even more pissed, it was a bad pump for sure. just check pressure is good with your set up maybe its ok and mine was a bad one. these are the brand spanking new spare parts for the EJ22T #2 motor which is at the machine shop awaiting the Wiseco pistons, Carrillo Rods, ACL race bearings.... put my A/C back in for those hot days at the track doing circles around people !!! LOL I got nice big holes all ready made for me !! time to cut this sucker up I had enough of this not cutting business !! see the black lines. 6"inch Thick x 7"inch Tall x 20"inch Long AiR 2 AiR intercooler is coming !!! no more messing around at the kiddy pool !!

Any one looking for a mint running Short block let me know ! The JDM tear Down ! JDM POWER ! 10MM PUMP on the newish V9 STi EJ207 !! every jdm motor below 2007 uses 10MM oil pump !! its comes down to personal preference in the end. i like wiseco pistons, have used them in my ej22t for a long time running with great results. I love that its made in the usa, and not sourced out from china like allot of these parts on the market. my ej22t and every jdm turbo motor from 1989 to 2007 use the 10mm pump, In this case ill stick with what subaru has given me. 11mm is not for me at all. lots of mixing is not good for sure, it wont happen any more like that in my garage.
