  1. Hey Matt, Congrats to you and the Mrs. I see your "little helper" is all set to reel in some keepers! You missed a beauty of a winter here in WI / IL........ lucky dog... Parenting.... now that is an adventure, good luck.....best wishes!
  2. This summer had a '93 Impreza LS with 98k miles totaled by insurance, $100 buy-back deducted from settlement. Back on the road shortly after, with 2/3 of the net payment in the bank waiting for the next fix or project to fund. Good luck with your situation!
  3. Appreciate the info! Spoke with a collision guy and his info is the same as Mugs for sedans and wagons. Now to find a non-coupe power door my paint code in a yard with all the goodies still on and in it. Thanks for your replies Mugs and grossgary!
  4. '93 Impreza LS got rolled up on and the door's a goner. Looking thru car-part.com, I thought it odd inquiry results showed only year 1993, but if looking for 1994 Impreza driver's door get results up to 2001. I've been to yards previously and am unable to discern a difference, thought all Impreza sedan / wagon stuff '93-'96 would work. Please advise what might prevent using "94-'01 electric driver's door on the '93 wagon. Any info appreciated, first hand especially! Thank you!
  5. Hi, just wanted to chime in that I acquired a Spectra filler neck from Amazon for a '93 Impreza at less than $90 shipped. Didn't have fitment issues. R&R was more time consuming than expected. Good luck!
  6. Nice pics!, glad you had a great time. Congrats to you and the lady!
  7. Here it is: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=126868 Good luck!
  8. Looks good, purchased a '93 with less than 100k myself, great simple to work on vehicle. Get about 27 mpg average mixed driving with 1.8 automatic. Suspect the vehicle in question will get better mpg with a stick. Probably a FWD EJ18 unless swapped to a 2.2, as don't believe the 2.2 was offered in the '93 Impreza line. Still a great non-interference motor with enough power for flat 'ol Florida. Price? I dunno, plan on spending $200- 300$ for t-belt, h20 pump, cam seals, o-rings, fluids, etc. if doing yourself. Search the forum threads for kits and how to's, lots of good info. I'd love to have that car's body and trans up here in WI, but don't think I'd go $2400 for FWD, of course don't really need AWD in FL do ya? Make him an offer with the service costs in mind, hard to find a good condition low mileage example of this vintage for cheap. Good luck!
  9. Well, you may experience unforeseen and expensive complications in addition to the currently diagnosed issues. Who knows?
  10. The green connectors? They did on the '93 I mentioned earlier, AFTER the bad 20 amp main fan fuse was replaced with a good one.
  11. Ran into this on a '93 Impreza, turned out to be the main fan fuse (20 amp?) at the fuse box inside the car on left side of driver footwell. If lucky he'll have a spare 20A still in it. Cheers!
  12. Sorry 'bout that mon ....bad luck:( Glad nobody was hurt. WTF is his bumper made of cast iron?, must have got under him just right..... that's a shame, thinking insurance is gonna cut a check for that. Hope you hold onto it and put her back together. Best of luck!
