  1. JB Weld failed... but the EGR Valve Solenoid from a BRAT also works:headbang:
  2. I'll check pricing for new... I'll probably give my repair a try, it's easy enough to get to if it doesn't work. Thanks for the input...
  3. Thanks... I JB welded it but I'll swing by Napa to see if they have one that wont break the bank.
  4. Runs awesome... just flushing fluids. This was under the cross pipe.
  5. Coincidentally I just purchased a clean '85 e82t sedan on Saturday... read the hate about ea82t's on Saturday night and woke up feeling sick on Sunday morning. Then I drove the family to church, cruising down the highway at 75 without breaking a sweat... looking forward to a lot more miles... this car is proving to be fun! Nope... not getting rid of the Brat.
  6. I was changing the thermostat on my ea82t and one of the nipples snapped off this... I'm looking for the correct name for ordering purposes. Thanks
  7. I know you mentioned that you don't run timing belt covers... I would think that the road grime/weather could effect the bearings on the pulleys. I know there are plenty of people who don't run the covers... just curious.
  8. Thanks... I'm looking at another one that seems well maintained with original paint.. I'll see it in person tomorrow
  9. I have a lead on a '88 XT6. It is a manual, AWD, electronic locking center diff, air suspension was replaced, the engine just turned over 100k in December. I haven't seen it yet but according to the seller the inteiors is perfect it has some rust on the rockers (no rust through), straight body panels and a rattle can paint job. He said 2 days ago the power steering stopped working after sitting for the last couple of months... apparently it is electric?!?! He's asking $2,000.00 best offer. What other type of stuff should I be looking for and what's a reasonable price? Thanks!!!
  10. I'm good on wheels... but I'm still interested in your hatch (:
  11. It's cool but I would be very surprised if it has WRX running gear. I had one of these (the van version) when I lived in Japan and I just don't see there being enough space to fit the engine and running gear. You have to admit the flared fenders and roof vent are sweeeeet!
  12. Looks good! You may want to pick up some gas... less clean up. Wish I could find some factory rocker panels... great find!
  13. Been working on all the little stuff in between a couple of projects... helping my nephew with his first enginebuild and building a race engine for an '05 Legacy (the last one is paying for the BRAT build). But I did buy a new mig welder last weekend!!! EA81 block will be back from the machine shop next week so that will get going pretty quick as well. I'll be working on it this weekend off and on. Oh yeah... I located a 5spd too (:
  14. Yea... figured that out afterwards... Well, if you're ever in AK. lol
  15. When did it start... the roads are pretty crappy all of a sudden around here and a combo of ify tires and running in front wheel drive will definitely give you a noticable change in the handling. Not that it isn't a suspension issue but start with the simple stuff. If you need to get under the car your welcome to put it in my garage and get under it... I like the name change BTW.
  16. Just spent 4 hours shoveling 4' of snow off my roof... I hating on you a little right now.
  17. Way less rust then what I've seen people attempt to restore. If you're not planning to drive during winter I would Por15 the rust (discretely) and Polish what's left of the paint and I would make the interior a nicer place to be... the original graphics are way to cool to cover up. If you plan to drive during the winter you need to restore or you won't be enjoying it for more than a year or two.
  18. Price for EA81 4" lift and appropriate diff drop.
  19. That's pretty much exactly what I'm going for, only dark blue... right down to the 4" lift, jump seats and black steelies. I'll be giving you a call soon enough for decals:headbang:
  20. Sorry it's been a while, been working on small stuff, collecting parts and building an engine for my nephew so my pace is off a bit. I'm slow with body work and am being pretty anal with the rust which adds to the time. I ended up cutting out more metal to be safe so my time frame for completion is now Summer vs Spring
  21. That's a nice looking BRAT with a great history. Those wheels are RARE!
  22. Just got my cam back from Delta Cam... Ken provided great communication and amazing turn around time! (barely a week round trip)
  23. I'm in for 4... need to make sure all my brats have a BRAT shirt!
  24. 82' only. The later models 83-87 (quad head light) did not. 85 was the last year of the jump seats and the first year of the hydro lifters and larger valve heads.
  25. Definitely interested!!! Let us know when available and pricing. I plan to paint in March/early April so I am very interested!
