LOL... I'll be getting the interior buttoned up this weekend so hopefully I'll be able to quell your pic appetite.
-
Big thanks to Pooparu... two tone stripes he created are awesome.

I was holding on there with my finger tips for a while, but I'm back

Back from a business trip, got a little more work done. ...ready for the POWER I'll get the interior and trim done this weekend and engine the following week. Hope to have her on the road by Thanksgiving.

Nice color and accent decal.
-
Nearly 2 years to the day... it is painted Hung doors and gate Starting to add the detail... This next week is going to be crazy... there may be an update or 2 before Halloween.
-
That is very cool... That is an EA82 I wouldn't part with.

Picked this up today to do a quick flip from a buddy of mine. No rust, newly rebuilt engine (I just have to install), very clean interior, give it a nice detail then triple my money (I only paid $500) for it. Note... Brat still has priority, just waiting for a paint booth to open up... Just making a little cash for the next project

Come on by... Ordered my decals from Pooparu today!!! I don't know if I'm more excited about finishing the BRAT or getting my garage back after 2 years.

Sealed... Final block sand then to paint.
-
Been a few weeks since I posted... Lot of sanding and prep for paint. Fenders, doors, hood, and tailgate have all been sealed, body is prepped and will be sealed tomorrow... Trailer waiting outside for transport to shop. Block sand this weekend then hopefully early next week it gets shot (painter is doing me a solid so I'm on his schedule). Then it all goes back together... Goal is on the road by October 15.

Thanks Adam, it's been crazy busy since 2nd week in March with new job... Finally came up for air last month and have been making a final push to paint. My painter comes over on Tuesday to give it the once over... Paint should happen NLT first week in September. Then she goes back together.

I'm jealous of all your parts... If you ever want to get rid of a push bar I'm your guy.

Been a while... Got new door from the lower 48... Been working my butt off to get it done. Wet sanded... A little touch up left to do but is ready for paint which should happen in the next three weeks... Holy smokes, I hate it when life gets in the way.

How much should I spend on a 360 Deluxe Van
tundrabrat replied to tundrabrat's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
Little surface, no rust through. Brakes are barely there. So, do you have the shoes resurfaced and can you buy rebuild kits for carbs or is there a specialty shop that caters to the hard to find parts? -
Found an old guy with an original '69 deluxe van. It has never been apart, faded paint but runs and has everything still completely intact including seats, carpets etc in good/faded condition. It is a survivor and I has good patina (very little rust and dents) but needs to be completely gone through mechanically to be a driver. He thinking of selling it because it has been sitting for the most part since the 70s... Bottom line, what is a good price for me and fare for him. Thanks for input.

Got the long block buttoned up... time to finish it up and get it off my work bench... and I believe I have found a passenger door!

Had to add a little nod to the STI engines I've been building for years. Engines going together well and I think I have a lead on two perfect doors so it'll actually be on the road this Summer.

Sorry it's been a while... it has been a crazy winter. Got the long block installed. Valve cover, oil pan and manifold will go on this week.

1982 Brat, original owner, keep it stock or EJ?
tundrabrat replied to jpressly's topic in Members Rides
Keep it original...not many out there and the ea81 is a good little motor. I'm replacing my ea82t with an ej because... It's an ea82t.. I'm rebuilding my ea81 for my brat with a weber and higher compression If you do go ej, do what Turbone suggests... Drive train and suspension. -
