  1. Curved ones were older (and made by Subaru). I have the same set of flat spoke jack mans and they work great. The problem is the older ones wont clear the calipers so they bind and won't work (on my gl10). Just my .02
  2. Any news on the brat one that I sent you pics and dimensions about? Just curious.
  3. its 2.5" turbo back (does have 1 cat). But this is the best video i have right now. http://s1192.photobucket.com/albums/aa340/conifersubaru/?action=view&current=IMG_0460.mp4
  4. it was 230 for 3 Ujoints, and carrier bearing, with balancing and they painted it! it also comes with a 1 year warranty, i was referred to "drive shaft doctors" aka denver drive shaft. by 3 places (one local subaru shop) and 2 axle and wheel places. I was thinking i can just swap rear diffs from my parts wagon since they both are 3.900 gearing. but ill mess with that and the power steering issue after i get plates.
  5. Well it did end up getting changed (carrier bearing). the u joints move like butter! Also got the front lip put on. Now my question is... after putting the drive shaft back in, i hear a clunking noise coming from the rear... could that be the diff? my thinking is, the rear diff went bad and it bought up then the U joint broke? could that be a possibility? or would it be the rear axle's?
  6. First to help. What year and kinda Subaru do you have? Fwd or 4 wheel.
  7. It's the boxyist wing I could find for a Subaru that's not aluminum. But it works. 75mph and up you feel the rear grab. And if it's windy you don't get thrown around. But recently (the other day) it started burning quite a bit of oil... And I don't know why...
  8. I had a Interesting idea.. Not even sure if it's possible or would work... But what if you took the front calipers off a xt6 or any other car and put them on the rear so you would have the rear E-brake? Well got the metal measured and going to get it cut tomorrow then more welding.
  9. I think it's good. But it probably will be changed
  10. I'm just going to have to save up for some complete tein's or Tanabe. front and rears. But dropped the whole drive shaft off for all new U joints and re balencing! got some front mud flaps, and front lower lip spoiler.
  11. I personally own 4 (brat, gl10, xt6, gl carbed, and my parts wagon) then my mom has one 97 outback legacy and my dad has 2 justy's.
  12. Well lets see, my dad's mom (my grandmother) bought this car 2 years after it came out. its been sitting for 10 years and revived the past year. Original i got in a accident Digital dash Sti wing, and Hks - Ti exhaust (3.5 inch) HID PROJECTOR conversion. it just rolled over 123,456 miles. the pneumatic air suspension system worked but one strut after another started to go so it got swapped to coil overs.
  13. http://www.tein.com/products/s_tech.html What about these?
  14. Alright the pricing i got a quote for was astronomical. i will keep looking around for a cheep company

  15. your not looking hard enough. napa has them too. the sedan coils are shorter then wagon (gl) if your looking for more rally then use wagon. i mean they aren't DRASTICALLY different heights but its noticeable, the ride hight will also be higher then how the car sits with air suspension.
  16. I did this swap a couple weeks ago and it's really nice! I used all new stuff besides coils since you cant get new coils. Deffinetly should get an alignment after the swap tho
  17. Yes all the top hats are the same. the rears are the weird angle things, there are covers over the rear air struts that you should put back on once you swap everything to keep things from not rusting.
  18. i got my struts (fronts) from orileys. rears i got from a member on here. but they have them at orileys as well. The one thing your going to have to do is make sure you disconnect the air compressor in left fender well.
  19. Any gl for the struts, but you want the COILS off of a sedan since they are shorter then the wagon ones. you can get new monroes front and rear, they cost about 90 a piece.
  20. Heres how it sits. 195-60-15 "winter storms", also i got the same 195-60-15 but Studded Ipike's. It needs to be lowered!!!! All i need now is the lower spoiler thing, new radio, antenna, and fluid change, and emissions.
  21. I got them for cheep. So I was happy! And they are 15's. I have a question. What coils will lower but not to much? Or would it be worth getting some tein. But they are $800
  22. New wheels!! Better seats! drivers side track fixed! new center console!!
  23. It will be hubs for rear disk only. I am not talking about re drilling anything it's the conversion parts for gl's etc. to go from 4 to 5 lug. The ones from Australia (their full conversion kit) is 1200 USD. Which is super expensive.
