    I applied and was chosen also. Supposed to get my ambassador $ on April 3. Also said I would be getting mags, brochures, etc in the mail along with a shirt and jacket. I haven't been too involved other than driving my 86 Camo Subie around the last 2 years due to health but hope that improves this year. Glad Subaru is recognizing that the owners are probably their best way to advertise. Not sure what my game plan is going to be yet, but I'm excited. Downloaded the ambassador guide - now have to read it to see what they expect.

    I believe so if you ate biscuits and gravy at our camp. Just got off the phone with my Mom and she was trying to talk me to heading to Lewiston and staying with relatives and then go on up thru Sandpoint I think she said to hit 90. Still planning so will give a shout out if I decide to take 2. Thanks,

    Will be driving 86 Hatch from Portland OR to Williston ND - first day to Spokane and then head on 90 and 94 east. Any recommendations for reliable repair place just in case? Also any recommendations for eating places and good places to stop for the night would be appreciated. And wouldn't mind talking to anyone out there in eastern MT or northwestern ND. Thanks!

    Lynn & Ken here. Do you or your Dad have a dealers license? Curious as we need to get an estimate of what a 83 Subie Wagon is worth - know we had talked to your dad and he said he was working on one at the time and after his work would sell it for around $2 k. Ken is involved in a lawsuit (his car was destroyed by a Chevy truck) and his attorney needs to get info from someone with a dealers license. Anything you can do to help would be much appreciated.

    Ok - we're off Farmington Rd and Clark Hills Rd.

     

    New place is coming along just fine. We have a 36' 5th wheel on a friends 2 1/2 acre property.

     

    Ken got laid off at the Intel job Feb 2 as the company he was working for didn't get their contract extended. He just started work yesterday as a demolition foreman for New Heights Demolition in Hillsboro.

     

    Not sure if we are going to make it to WCSS 14 or not.

    Ok who did I pass yesterday around noon on Tualatin Sherwood Rd? I was driving my 86 camo hatch and you were also driving a camo hatch. I'm sure I saw the vehicle at WCSS13. When my hatch grows up I want it to look like yours! Lynn

    Darn - we're moving that weekend so Ken won't be able to do rally cross. Oh well - next year!

    Ed - Ken said is was just blind luck on the laps at PIR. He doesn't have cruise control.

    Saw you out there - wondering why we didn't see you in the race - can't believe no one wanted to go with you. Had a great time as usual but it was very hot! Next year let's try to get a lot of USMB folks from Portland and SW WA area to go.

    Ed - Ken will be there for sure. I'm not so sure about my car - if the weather is real hot I probably will not race as I need a new dual core radiator so my car is not overheating. Lynn

    Thought Ed was going to post this but I beat him to it. Cost is only $30 - and we ran 2 cars last year - had great fun.     No company - just stands for North Portland. Yes, they are our daily drivers - I'm Lynn and I have the 86 Hatch. Ken's car is the 95 Impreza. Thanks for the compliment - Ken did the paint on both cars. FYI we will be moving to Hillsboro (well actually about 220th & Farmington Rd area) mid October. Ken is working at the new Intel building site in Hillsboro right now.

    Yes, Ed - Stevenson is the perfect place for the show. Thank you people who worked so hard to put the show on for us. Good to meet new people and visit with old friends.     I'm hoping to be past Troutdale by 10 a.m. Friday the 26th but in case I can't get the 20 yr old kid moving fast enough the camo 85 Hatch will join the caravan. Although it isn't really sounding like a caravan at this point. Lynn

    I see registration has closed. Sent a check for reg for 2 cars and camping and it still hasn't been cashed. Don't remember the person's name I mailed to just that it was in Mount Lake Terrace WA or something like that. Do you know who I might contact to see if the check and registration info was received?

    Went over Bridge of the Gods Friday coming back from camping. It's $1 for cars. Not sure if we will meet up with the caravan or not - want to get my favorite camp spot close to the Canadians. In any case I'm bringing my 86 Hatch this year. The 83 silver wagon (with the silver surfer hood ornament) bit the dust in a car wreck in Nov. Lynn

    Understand heavy thunderstorms, lightening, possible nickel size hail and yes, let's not mention rain. Talked to Ken and Markus a couple hours ago and they are getting ready to hunker down for the night. Be safe all you volunteers (and drivers too). Ed hope you have dry environment for the night. Lynn
