I like the way they look. Most BRAT owners on this forum seem pretty handy with tools. They may sell on eBay though. They'd stand out in the sparse line up of BRAT parts! I"m getting my 85 BRAT next Saturday and may be interested depending on how much budget I have left for audio. What type of bed liner is this?
I cant remember, what the brand was, it was very easy to do though. napa sells it.
The speakers though are still in theyre start phase im gonna see what the cost on acrylic is for a more seamless look as well as a pop kind of look
also how did you post the pic up? I cant remember how to do it?

I don't have a brat anymore, but have had two in the past. In my opinion they may be in slightly greater demand if you can make the kit in a way that you unbolt the stock panel (and keep it safe and unmolested somewhere) and then bolt in your replica panel with speaker.
I did think about that and they are mounted in those. i made some replacement panels, but im going to get some acrylic panels made.
Anyways here are some pics, the first few are of the speakers, need some refinement, still gonna fidle with them a bit be before theyre final.

(cant remember how to post pics on here) help appreciated

I lll try and get some pics up soon

I installed speaker in the removable side panels yesterday. sound great, so my big question now is, would there be an interest in these if I were to make kits and sell them?
Kits would include:
Marine water resistant speakers
Replacement acrylic panels
mounting hardware to mount to the acrylic
How much would you spend on something like this?

Do you have one that fits and 05 baja? or does it fall in the new EJ category? My friend wants to lift his Baja and saw the lift on the 04 silver turbo foz from last week and he told us about your lifts

I have projectors, but haven't upgraded to HID. They do make a difference, but don't go cheap. IE: The $100 set. I did and even though they are brighter, the pattern on the road sucks comparatively speaking. They're better than they were by far, but before I invest in a HID set up, I'm going to look for better housings.
I know you said you have to change your projectors, but do you have any recommendations? and what headlights do you run with those?
-
these are mine! Well his but mine haha they look diffrent now though. There 125 plus shipping now as material has gon up a lot sisnce then lol
Do you have a picture of them with the new design? I have an EA81 so I need to the pitch stop mount of to the side

Has anyone every put some projector headlights in a Brat? thinking about upgrading to HIDs. not to worried about power draw because I an EJ swap, but just want to know what your experiences are with them.
-
since the 86 never got them mine are just welded to some steel flat sheet and bolted to the bed

id say upgrade time my hitachi did the same thing. went weber and never looked back.... then the motor gave six months later.... <_>

So they are just air lines? Would they have an effect on mpg?
Wondering if it was looking lean from intake leak, so it enriched fuel.
It would cause a leak but shouldn't cause that much of leak

Ok thanks Gloyale. I'll get that hooked up soon then.

Ok so I have a 96 legacy motor and harness in my 86 brat and when I down shift and use the engine to slow it down it stalls when i come to a complete stop. Usually stalls long before it stops. it directly bypasses idle and just dies. Is this because I don't have the speed sensor hooked up? I didn't have this problem with the motor in my other Brat with the same engine and harness and the sensor was hooked up. Just wanna make sure if theres anything else i need to look into before I tear my Shelf out to connect it, I need to do it anyways so that my gas mileage will improve.

Nope. Put LED signals on my '85 Brat. Was Blinking super fast, swapped it out with an electronic, all's good. Located behind the little speaker grill on the left side, pretty far back.
Can you put a link up to one. When i searched it i got was replacement relays

I'd have to make them blink correctly. The quick blinking stresses me out
Mine doing it used to do that to me but i only ever had a month of properly working turn signals and I have 800W with a 10in sub so it kinda just goes away haha
-
Just change your flasher to an electronic one.
Doesn't it already have one?
-
I think LEDs might be a good way to go. less hassle with the having to change them when they burnout, still not a big deal though. ive thought about adding some inline resistors to the them just to get them to blink correctly

Don't know about why you mileage is bad. but the fuel smell is common. The fuel lines on the intake leak when it cold outside. never enough to be visible but enough to give one massive headache. There is one rubber fuel line near the rear of the engine on the passenger side. Get a phillips screwdriver and tighten the clamps see if that works

I used some LED trailer light turn signals from autozone (they're like $5) and welded some steel plate on to the corners and theyre wired into the factory turn signal set up. the only thing i have against them is that the car thinks that they are burned out, because of the low resistance of the LEDs, so the click really fast, they work well. I'm pleased with them. they actually got me to start converting to 100% led bumper to bumper. Just really expensive for the rest of the car.

I was able to get it at a discounted price because if my job, but I spent $145us for 9 24x18 sheets. So I would probably say closer to $200us for you. Look on amazon for the full car dynomat pack. I got the floor and the doors with the kit

Works great. ive been really bad about updating this haha. But i had nothing from cats back when the it was installed and now its so quite i'm getting UEL headers and straight piping it.

Just curious, could I get a legacy MC on an ea81 without changing the booster?
