Carmen sent a youtube video. You can see the same video at http://www.subaru.com/owners/resource-center/electronics-audio/bluetooth/blueconnect.html That's what blue connect looks like. If you don't have that on your center console, then you have regular bluetooth, with which you should be able to hear your navigation directions by connecting it to audio.

I have an '02 WRX and an '86 Brat. I love almost everything about my subarus, especially the rough and capable, yet somehow refined look and feel that they have on the road The only thing that I grumble about from time to time is the fuel mileage on my WRX, but that's somewhat to be expected. I also don't like that Subaru has adopted the CVT or the electric emergency brake. Fortunately, it doesn't seem to be on all models. As for Subarus in general, I love the body style from the beginning of Subaru time up until 2008. They were quirky, unique and functional. I also love their smaller size compared to other vehicles in their class. I'm not too fond of the look they've taken on since 2009 though. It's too similar to other vehicles on the road. Perhaps it has someting to do with the Toyota shareholder/influence. However, if I were to purchase a new car today, it would probably still be a Subaru.

welcome to the forum! -
Quite some time ago I posted a thread asking if anyone was in the Lousiana area. Someone replied from Alabama I think, and that was it. I have since met another BRAT where I'm from in New Orleans, and one other 'under construction' near Baton Rouge, but I figured I should widen my 'territory'. Is anyone from the LA, TX, MS, AR, AL, OK, TN, FL area up for a meet at some point? I really like the people on this forum and would love to spend some time with some real soobie lovers. I'm picturing a meeting point for a weekend somewhere in the middle area of all interested, a little cruise, over night camping, pot luck meals... etc. Post here if you're interested!!

Any tips on other attachment railings? We've got another thread going here: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/101109-finally-got-tonneau-cover-done/ -

Definitely put me down. When I didn't originally get an answer here, I made an inquirey on a new thread. Someone responded with some great info on how to fasten it at the top of the cabin. I'm not sure about other attachment railings though. Here's the post: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/149369-soft-tonneau-cover-for-second-gen-brat/ I added of a picture of what I'd like one to look like. -
So awesome! Love the vid, love your wagon

Thank you so much! This is a great idea. -
Hey all, So I decided to take the Gem Top off my '86 Brat. It dulls down her awesome looks and I'm simply not too fond of it. In the mean time, I'd love to have some way of covering the bed for camping trips...etc. and was thinking of a soft, waterproof of course, tonneau cover. I imagine it looking something like the attached image. Does anyone have something like this (self made) that they might be willing to share, or does anyone know a vendor that could create one? Thanks in advance

Brining this back from the dead because: 1) I love it and 2) I am in need of one for my '86 BRAT. I'm not sure I have the resources (time, space, money) to make one myself as you seem to have done. Are you interested in doing a commission? -
I sure hope so! I'm not familiar with carbs at all, and this will be my first swap. I hope I can get it working well. What sort of problems were you having the with hitachi? My list about 10 miles long, but the most recent problem was constantly having to reset the idle at the proper place. I'd reset it, and then upon starting it up the next day, it'd be up at 3000 rmps without me having done anything to it in the mean time.
