  1. Saw a PDF awhile back, thought I'd saved it but cant find it. Anybody know where link is please post.
  2. Thanx, coxy. Found it @ http://jdfinley.com/file-downloads/subaru-manuals/
  3. Look at the relays on R fender to see if maybe been mis-connected. Have someone work the light switch as you feel each relay to find the one that works with the lights. My newest FSM is '82 so I'm guessing they are about same. I do have the Mitchell wiring manual for '84 but they don't do very well on relay locations. The fan wire should be blue w/red stripe, it's relay will also have a blue, a yellow and a blue w/black stripe jumper to next relay
  4. Seems dealers parts lookup now only goes back to '85. Anybody know if there's parts pdf's one can download to get parts numbers? Right now I'm needing the bypass hose for the water pump for '83 1.8. Parts guy at Nashville, TN said if I could get it's number they might be able to get it. OEM Subaru rubber is 2nd to none, WAY superior to after market.

  6. I had to put a spring behind carb to pull secondary closed. I'll take pic if you need.
  7. Bought this http://www.ebay.com/itm/Fuel-Pump-Electric12-Volt-Universal-4-7-PSI-25-35-GPH-filter-Rubber-Mount-Pad-/331076449426?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4d15b1b492&vxp=mtr Hope this helps someone
  8. Finally took time to take apart a pump and the little fellow has a miserable circuit board in it and all's polyurethane foamed up inside. Parts house pump is $40. Anybody know what'll dissolve the foam and not kill the board? Got a good radio man here who knows what all the li'l gizmos on boards are. My li'l '85 Nissan truck and my gas Onan generator have a similar elec. pump but they're cylindrical and I think they dont have boards. Never had one of them quit.
  9. I tried search both fix and repair fuel pump. What'd you search?
  10. Take it to someone who's got a combustion gas (CO2) detector. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1_SIwHMLmkM
  11. I rebuild carbs. Properly done a rebuild will last MANY years All you needed was a minor adjustment. This man has suckered you from the getgo, messed up and is lying his a** off. I despise people like him and am sorry for your loss. I wish we didn't get the roads salted in the winter here so the little bodies would last like y'all's do. The 80-84's were/are the best lil transports EVER produced by anybody, bar none.
  12. Is the pump supposed to work straight wired or does the power have to be pulsed to it by the relay?
  13. Does the module pulse power to pump or does the pump pulse? It's just God & me here and recon He's got way more to do than turn key & squirt gas into carb for me.
  14. When I turn ign. on the blk, blu/blk & yel hot up. No initial hot up of blu/red. Really'd like to find diagram of module function. Seems Sub. left it out for some reason.
  15. Parts car, Doing the yearly crank up, did fine last year, now no fire to pump. Runs fine spoon fed. Connections look good. Have 82 FSM and Mitchell diagram, neither show relay function. Don't understand why this pertinent info is omitted. Like it's forbidden. Anybody know if diagrams are posted anywhere?
  16. Never mind, looked at similar posts that came up at bottom after I posted and got it under control. THANKS!!
  17. Have FSM & Mitchell diagram but neither has location for '82 GL 2wd wagon. Have fire at fuse, pump works hotwired. Help y'all!
  18. Been running Sub's since mid 80's. Still am a '83 2wd auto wagon. It's gittin bad rusty though. Got several 80/84"s in varying stages of decomposition which I'd sell parts from. I hate pecking on comput. so call me if you need any. I'm 731 584 6591. I'm trying to scare up some alum. 14" wheels for '83. Y'all call.
