  1. here is my current cone washer. notice the knicks?
  2. still haven't figured out how to hook up egr? any help? When i adjusted the advance it didn't seem to make any difference. the sound i am hearing is almost like someone is stick a screwdriver in a tin can and rattling it around?
  3. i think it might be pinging now. there is a weird rattling type noise in the engine and i can't figure it out. pinging?
  4. replaced the axle already, inspected the cone washer and there are little knicks and gouges. I am gonna go pull it right now and take a picture.
  5. Changed the oil. filled fluids. messed with my annoying passenger front wheel that is knocking. still cant find a solution. URGH!
  6. Yes sir. I know how to check the timing i think. But i just need the tool.
  7. idle warm at just under 900 idle mixture is out 1 4/6ish turns. I have my main jet at 135 and secondary at 140 now. choke is open when warm checked the plugs and they were good dont have a tool to check the timing... is it necessary? its better but still bogs under power from idle.. also I am still getting terrible gas mileage? can running too lean be the issue?
  8. So i was just messing with jetting. I think I am still running rich cause when i start up my car a little fuel drips out the muffler. and my gas mileage is still not great. also another symptom is when i am at idle and then floor the throttle, the car briefly dies then revs up? and sometimes it backfires when i do that? Any ideas. I am basically at minimum main jet sizes. 130 primary 135 secondary. and my air jets are primary 190 and secondary 210. could the dying then revving when i floor it be cause by my idle jets?
  9. wednesday at the soonest... dang. hmmm. the knocking has become significantly less. and it goes away when there is more pressure on the wheel.
  10. Okay the second washer was like this <( so i reversed that. and the cone washer did have a knick in it which keeps it a tad bit from going all the way in. So i need to get that replaced, as I believe that is what the issue is. However I am not able to find any online!!!! HELP! and I leave on a roadtrip in 4 days
  11. SO AWESOME! Yeah he flooded a brand new suby And the tercel sucks ahahahaha
  12. Yeah I am super stoked. I had bought a Pratt screwdriver set, and the screwdriver broke on me. so i returned it got my money back and said "craftsman for life!" ahaha then got this bad boy. and a work light, and a breaker bar. picking them up on sunday
  13. Mmmmmm just got this http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_00934118000P?lid=IExTrans_ItemNumber_link&rioptype=SRS&sid=IExTransSearsStoreReady&eml=
  14. Just did wheel bearing test. seemed fine to me? Gonna use a breaker bar and pop that axle nut off and back on and see what's going on there. GRRRRRRRR i just want to know what is wrong!
  15. Is it okay to drive my car right now? What about driving it 250 miles roughly? to get the part, then hopefully replacing it there, and if not driving 250 back?
  16. I want this so bad ahahaha Sexy wheels and tires for sure
  17. Ahahaha. So I was thinking, wouldn't it be cheaper and easier to just get an old hub/wheel bearing assembly off an old subaru? Rather than taking mine completely apart and piecing it back together?
  18. The guy that i got it from only had it like a month and bought it from his elderley neighbor who got it maintained at the subaru dealership her whole life. and he realized he just didnt need it, when he already had 2 subaru sti's. ahahaha so i feel like stuff shoulda been taken car of more.
  19. Ooooh I might have not put that guy on wrong. So you are saying i want it so that the cocave part is facing towards the cone washer? like this <) and not like this <( ?
  20. If it is the cone washer? What should i look for as far as that is concerned? and where could i get a new one? and If it was the wheel bearings, would you recommend just bringing it to a shop?
  21. Thank you for all your posts guys! I will check my cone washer tomorrow and do the push pull test. crossing my fingers that it is an easy fix, I have a 1600 mile road trip on the 17th. Hopefully not wheel bearings. My tie rod bushings look pretty dry and cracking?
