EJ20g into GL10 Wagon almost done ~EDIT DONE~
Cliptin replied to suberdave's topic in Subaru Retrofitting
I could not find where you answered the question about using a JDM transmission in the GL. Assuming you did, did you have to do anything special? -
2)The 2.2 doesn't have the potential HG problems of the 2.5. 1)I already have one.
-
Pardon my ignorance but how do I tell if the 2.2 I'm looking at is single or dual port?
-
Is the computer smart enough the adjust? Will the transmission mount up easily? Anybody done it?

move over EJ22 swap, I need a quasiturbine!

"Not easy and not frequently. However, the inventors occasionally give local Montreal conference, demonstration and training. See: http://quasiturbine.promci.qc.ca/QTDemonstration00.htm " -
Oops. This should probably be moved to the retrofit area. Sorry Mod.

I just bought a 2.2 engine to drop into my EA82 with AT. Should I expect reliability problems or premature failure? What can I do to reduce help?

Anybody know how much one of these kits costs? Two calipers.

The end of that board looks like a 1x6 or 1x8.

I'm going to be working on a friend's car this coming weekend. Is there anything special about the O2 sensor or where to get it from? Her regular mechanic is having trouble sourcing it and they send him the wrong one. Is there any remedy for regularly warping rotors? She drives up and down the mountain every day. Better quality/slotted/...?

I have two injectors that glisten and smell like fuel after a drive. They seem to be leaking from a small hole right below the rubber connector hose. Are these guys repairable or what is the board consensus on replacement?

I just got a new OEM PCV valve and the rubber PCV hose for the right valve cover (it was split). I'd like to clean up/out the other PCV hoses rather than buying new ones. Does anyone have suggestions for cleaning fluids to use as well as brushes or whatnot? How about suggestions for removing the hoses without spliting them or a way to recondition them to be soft again? Also I have oil residue inside the "air tube" in between the MAF and the thottle body and some old residue in the MAF. Ideas for cleaning them?

I have the same question but for the digi-dash. -
New motor in and running, in a crappy way
Cliptin replied to singletrack's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
singletrack, how did you go about keeping track of everything you took off the motor so you could get it back together? It looks like I'm going to need to replace the front seals and I just can't see doing it with the engine in the car. -
Visually, how do you tell these two engines apart? My Haynes indicates that SPFIs should have the same air filter box as the MPFIs while the carb air filter is on top of the motor in a pan. My 87 (JF2AN53B0HF451696) has the pan. But for some reason I thought the car was SPFI.

I don't suppose you kept the distributor and would be willing to part with it? -
There's always the web page where he explains it: http://home.att.net/~rsmash/strutswap.html

Sure. The only thing better than a road trip is a road trip with a purpose. -
