  5. GT is a great car.... very capable too... watch the 98's though as that year + early 99 were prone to Head Gasket failure. they are good running, easy driving, good handling cars but the head gaskets were a bit sad and if they've not been changed, you are kind of running a gamble with a 98 the HG's may go... and they may never go... hard to say. loved my GT and aside from the head gasket issue, it never gave a lick of problems (short block, head gaskets replaced at 56k miles) Jamie
  6. i would never do that. nor did i state that i would i offered to verify whether or not the vin will provide a key cutting code i did not offer up the code nor did i offer up a key i would never sell cut keys, cylinders, ignitions etc via the internet thank you very much :-\ Jamie Thomas email: Jamie at chaplins.com http://www.subarugenuineparts.com *************************** http://www.subiegal.com
  7. AND ... dealerships CAN get a key code from your vin... on the newer models which is why my vin # in my windshield has tape over it :-p dealers SHOULD require id and proof before cutting a key but.. yeah. we know how that goes. Jamie
  8. Very likely... Your vin # will not bring up a key code for the dealer to cut on... you're looking at popping out your lock cylinder... and taking it to a locksmith who can then cut a key for you. feel free to pm me your vin (i work for subaru) but i can nearly betcha that it's not going to work Jamie
  9. yep, sure do. see: http://www.scoobymods.com/forums/showthread.php?t=181 Jamie
  10. cone filter intake can be bad mojo on these cars.... they can often complicate the MAF setup and your MAF simply goes south..... as it's not reading right and constantly over correcting I would guess you need a new MAF. but you need to get that code pulled to be certain symptoms of a bad MAF include inability to boost, or get into high revs without sputtering and stalling I would recommend (once you resolve this) that you buy a new MAF and get the original intake setup on that car asap or you will continually have to deal with these issues.... contact me if we can help you price out a new MAF but make SURE FIRST that this is what you need. 12. do you have the code that keeps popping up? the CEL code? that would help a lot with diagnosing seems like the only thing left is a bad cat.... Jamie
  13. not to mention they are not DOT legal and you can be cited for using them Jamie
  14. find me real brushed aluminum... and i'm in.... Jamie
  15. ahahaa they shipped yesterday... you'll have em tomorrow Jamie Thomas email: Jamie at chaplins.com http://www.subarugenuineparts.com *************************** http://www.subiegal.com
  16. rocker panel... sledge hammer... either that or take it to a puller/body shop body shops shoot rivets into the metal, connect those to a puller pull the metal out... then bondo the rest depends on how badly that rocker is damaged that's one tough area to deal with. Jamie
  17. when the car refuses to start... does the car crank? or try to crank? or do you get a "click" only? Jamie
  18. yeah bearings arent that much but you will need oil seals, a snap ring and axle nut too still... around $79'ish each side let me know if I can help you source some Jamie Thomas email: Jamie at chaplins.com http://www.subarugenuineparts.com *************************** http://www.subiegal.com
  19. here: https://www.subarugenuineparts.com/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=legacy+mat&osCsid=6fd4a6910f4d8f84f5f0f1672c687076&x=0&y=0 2000 mats are going to be the best fit for your 1995 as most of the 1995 mats are now obsolete you're best off substituting them with the 00 model good fit, some even embroidered with "LEGACY" shout with questions. Jamie Thomas email: Jamie at chaplins.com http://www.subarugenuineparts.com *************************** http://www.subiegal.com
  20. you could risk ebay. but those manuals are not factory and may not have correct informaton for $30... i would recommend http://techinfo.subaru.com at least you know you've got the right info from the source. Jamie
  21. i would recommend having a professional install it this stuff is very tricky to do yourself... Jamie
  22. bra would interfere with engine cooling... i would highly recommend http://www.rockblocker.com vs a leather/pleather type bra 1 - you cant see it! yet it's protecting the car 2 - you dont have to take it off everytime you wash your car 3 - leather/pleather bra's will damage painted surfaces - rockblocker will not hope this helps! Jamie
