  3. Sounds like the transfer clutches in your Tranny have gone bad Unfortunately, with high of mileage, this is quite a common issue..... You may want to get it diagnosed? but if it's 2wd only, likely that's the source of your problem. and $$$$ to fix... Jamie

  5. very common to have these bulbs burn out any dealership can help you need: 1 - 72351ac051 2 of 72351ac061 commonly referred to as mode control bulbs. get these, take the dash apart, replace cheers Jamie

  7. depends... could also be signs of an external head gasket leak... vs internal. really needs a sniffer test done to be certain. my GT never overheated at hwy speeds only at idle..... and not only did the HG's go... i melted the block in my ignorance Jamie
  8. actually front control arms are known as transverse links could be the bushes could also be wheel bearing or cv issue could even furthermore be bad tie rod ends i'd suggest taking a look at those particular items. Jamie www.subiegal.com
  9. sounds very very much like head gasket failure to me. have a hydracarbon sniffer test done.... you can change 1000 radiator hoses and 1000 thermostats.... if the HG's go.. the symptoms will remain. Jamie www.subiegal.com

  15. what's the big deal? why not use it as is? driers in the AC keep the car from fogging up and are a god send my AC is on everytime i get into the car no matter what the season. Jamie
  16. you better get that check engine code pulled... fast flashing check engine light = bad bad bad medicine steady light is not so bad but flashing meanst stop driving the car.. now.. or else car is trying to tell you something you are best off parking it and finding out what the issue is. Jamie

  18. sounds like the tranny is at the end of it's life missed or rough shifts = slipping tranny slipping tranny = dying tranny best off to plan to buy a rebuilt tranny, or a new car soon good luck Jamie

  21. watch those offsets on non subaru wheels just stay in the 48mm area and you'll be okay oh and not all 5 lugs are the same the new sti's have a completely different bolt pattern it's no longer 5 x100 cheers jamie

  24. i toasted a clutch in 2k miles!!! <---seriously! it's easy to do - aggressive driving, too much clutch slippage, too much riding the clutch and it's easy to SEE as a mechanic, once you've removed the clutch from the car mileage on things like clutch/brakes means very little. it really varies by driving style wish you the best of luck!
