  1. Checked the TPS. was clean and functioned same plugged unplugged. car ran proper before. cant really pinpoint when exactly it started this. about 2 weeks now. check all the obvious things. when it got to fuel i ran around for the day with a fuel pressure gage on the car. every time it would bog the gauge would drop to Zero. i had the gauge before the fuel filter. thats why i thought fuel related. and why it would either fuel tank or pump. however missing spark or ignition would also explain the bog. but how would monitor while driving to see if it causes the bog.
  2. i dont feel a change wether it is warmed up or still cold. it still bogs out. its not giving me a code. i dont see how the temp sensor would cause this. how can i check to make sure it is working? temp gauge functions.
  3. replaced filter. blew out out lines with air hose. everything looks good. idles great. just looses it when i put a load on the engine.
  4. I had a problem while back i posted about dropping fuel pressure. apon acceleration sometimes it would bog out, almost stall for a second then come back. did some research and was told to check the fuel tank. The tank was full of crap so i dropped it and cleaned it out. then it got even worse. it would die when i would accelerate hard or make and positive boost. replaced the fuel pump. and it got a bit better but its still hardly driveable. Im stumped. not sure whats left to check. car is a 1986 XT turbo 4WD. 112,000kms no codes otherwise.
  5. Just picked up an HKS Fuel Cut Defencer While back i saw a thread with an install on it. Tried to search the ************ out of it but no luck. anyone know what im talking about??
  6. Hey everyone. just signed up here. I have an 86 Subaru XT with some mild mods. Recently i ran into issue. Im reaching boost spikes at 10psi. because theres spikes it will hit the 11psi fuel cut. Ive read about the HKS FDC and it is a very good option however that just byp*********es the cut. not give it fuel past 11psi. The easy option would be an ECU chip with a remapped fuel base. But i dont think anyone has one. I have an AEM Fuel and ignition controller not being used right now and thinking about installing it on the XT. The AEM is a piggyback system and would have to be tied into the ECU. I believe the FIC is for an OBDII car. and im pretty sure the XT out dates OBDI. my main concern is tying the unit in with the EA82t's MAF. Does anybody here have experience with this? wiring diagrams, standalones, and another info is much appreciated.
