Its a Master Pro Select, was like 48.99 from Oreill'ys I took my old water pump out of the box and compared it to the one i made this thread about and they're kinda of similar; they both have like those gouges in around the diameter so maybe thats just how they are ? Anyways i put some high temp rtv around the gasket and threw it back on. Seems to not be leaking ... At least i no longer have the TOD from re sealing the oil pump !
-
Looks like it took some small gouges out of my block too, so there's probably some small pieces of aluminum or whatever the water pumps made out of floating around in my engine
-
So i was re sealing my oil pump and putting everything back together and noticed that i was leaking some coolant off the right side of the water pump, which is lame because i just replaced it in december Anyways pulled it off and saw this: I dont think a water pump should look like this .. It kinda looks like a blown piston lol and sorry for the bad pics, Ipod cameras arent all that great . Anyone ever had a water pump like this or fail in that short of amount of time ?

Sorry to open up an older post but i just pulled my oil pump off to put on the new MM gasket and the other seal . I want to replace the the shaft seal thats behind the pump pulley, but i have cant figure out how to get the pulley off lol How do I get the pulley off to replace the seal ? Thanks -
NICE !! I see you've got your own project going on lol Cant wait to see the outcome of that thing ! I just threw my rig in the garage, resealed the oil pump. Gonna start tearing off the old lift stuff and throwing on the 6" kit. Ill get ahold of ya about those struts pretty soon probably ....
-
Lol alright . I can give em back if ya want, I don't mind .
-
Will do ... would you guys up there be willing to give me a hand on installing the lift ? Say as a little fun project or something haha and yeah I still have em they've been sitting in my garage . I actually just tossed em on my truck cause I thought they looked good so I hope you don't mind me running em for awhile
-
That'd be awesome, I was gonna go to the junkyard and pull some. And yeah can definitely hand em down to the next guy and bump up the free 2" lift thread
-
Sweet, thanks for the tips Gloyale . I need to learn how to weld lol or have a buddy come over with one . Ill probably start throwing on the lift within the next week or two (hopefully) Need to get my welding situation figured out before i start tearing everything apart .....

Ahh ok, so no need to extend the levers ? Just drop em down ? And if I put the lift on before dropping it down will it damage any of the stock linkages ?

67 views and no one can help a brotha out ?! Sheesh ! Buuuump

Just picked up a 6" sjr lift kit, Thanks to Soobiedoo ! Anyways, im just trying to figure out everything that needs to be done with the 6" lift and also see if i could possibly get some tips about when installing the lift. I have the steering extension piece so thats covered. It should work in theory, it came off an 87 mines an 88 . What size pieces of steel do i need to extend the 4wd lever and shift lever ? And how many inches should they be extended ? Ill probably be extending the brakes lines and going with steel braided, unless i can get enough slack out of the stock lines ? Also, I know that i need to get longer radiator hoses. do they make universal ones i can just cut or do i order some for a different rig ? I think thats all the ?'s i have for right now, if i come up with anything else ill ask. Thanks !

Yeah, Id say about the biggest tire you can get for a 14 would be a 27x8.50 or actually a 235/75/14 but thats probably hard to find. For a 29" tire you'd have to run a 15 inch rim . Unless you find the 28" swampers which i think were available in a 14" rim ..

Not trying to brag or rub it in, but i got my set of 5 trailer wheels in pretty much brand new condition off of CL for 140 !! I also forgot to add that i've wheeled with the trailer rims/tires and havent had any issues whatsoever . -
Your new axle didn't come with a roll pin and castle nut ?

I have a set of those mounted on my off road tires . They're 15x6 modulars . Or trailer wheels lol I have em on 215/75/15 Wild Country's . I think I drilled em after I got them mounted . -
How much is the 4" kit gonna cost for an ea82 . And are the front strut blocks a little more than 4" to make it sit level ?
-
Damn there's a ton of fresh snow up there ! Seems like tail lights are the most common to break up there lol
