  1. Congratulations, Connie! But I don´t like the new Impreza. If you compare it with the 07, the interior is a lot cheaper looking, there is less room for the drivers legs and it just looks like every other hatchback-car. And of course it has no boxer-sound anymore, but the charisamtic subaru-sound is gone since 2005. Lukas
  2. They are completely rusted away in europe, you don´t see them on the road anymore. Farmers used them as farm cars without license plates, tuners used them as winter cars and crushed them in spring, there are just no old subarus before the Legacy I left. And I am sure in a few years there won´t be EA82´s left in the US too. Why? 1. Subaru freaks use them as winter cars => rust => parted out/crushed 2. Subaru freaks use them as offroad rigs => body damage => parted out/crushed 3. "Average" people don´t like them and forget them => crushed 4. Stupid kids use them for their "car abuse"-videos => crushed 5. Accidents, custom projects and junkyards will do the rest... I think there must be a change in thinking, even for the subaru freaks! EA82´s are no winter daily drivers anymore, EA82´s are´nt off road rigs you don´t have to care for, they are very charismatic cars, and now they are all on the way to cars heaven because nobody cars for them! I believe now it´s time to buy an EA82 (or two, or three... ) in good condition to keep it stock and watch the others go to the crusher. Because in a few years you all will be happy to own an old stock Subaru GL or DL or Loyale (Best selling import wagon!!!) in good condition. There time will come, believe me. And I fear, if it´s going on like this, it will be to late... If you want to drive offroad with a subaru, use Legacys or Justys, but please keep the EA82´s alive and stock! In a few years you will thank me for this! I have owned a beautiful very low mileage EA82 Touring Wagon, but sold it to a drunk idiot who does´nt care for this beauty and now its dented, rusty and mechanically in bad shape too. In a few years it will go to the crusher, and one of the last EA82 in austria ever will be gone. Sometimes I think of me as a stupid idiot... I am searching for another EA82 in good condition to keep it stock and clean until it´s an oldtimer, but there are nearly no left. I have the money and I am willing to pay a very good price fot a very good car, but all my money is useless because there are just no EA82 left... In europe, it´s to late, but you in the US have the chance to change this situation! Take your chance, it may be the last! Lukas
  3. But it also hurts me when I see EA82s in really good condition without a roof and no fenders for offroad use. They are driven offroad until the body is completely damaged and after this abuse they are parted out. Another EA82 is gone! Examples here in the gallery... They produced 3.8 million Leone, I know, but in europe, the EA82 is nearly completely gone (rust!) and in a few years, there won´t be a lot EA82s left. Lukas
  4. These are people with too much time, no respect for nothing and no brain. Maybe there´s a poor family which needs a car. But they don´t think about things like that. They believe these old Subarus are useless junk that no one wants or needs. Make it better! Theach your children respect, in every way you can! Cause time´s getting harder, and people are getting angrier, more bored and a lot more violent. Lukas :-\
  5. No, they are JDM only. Of course the russion cars have this mirrors too, because the russions are importing a lot of used cars from japanese into their country. So a lot of cars driven in Russia are from Japan. The russian are driving on the right side, but that doesnt bother them. Lukas
  6. I only own a 07 Impreza Sports Wagon, my dad´s got a 05 Outback and the LandCruiser J9 pictured below. The 97 Toyota Carina Turbo Diesel is my brothers car. Lukas
  7. Does noone have pics of their Leone/Loyale in winter holidays? With 4 people, a lot of equipment inside and on the roof rack? Lukas
  8. Hi! Please post pics of your EA82s with all the winter holiday equipment you need to carry with you. Thanks! Lukas
  9. The Outback has got more room inside, so if you have got a family, the Outback would be better. My dad went for the 05 Outback, because we have 2 dogs. Lukas
  10. I can´t understand why you like those german plates that much. I have seen a lot of cars in the us with german plates. And the plates are so unreal. There is no german plate with A Füga-Z. Thats nothing. German plates look like that for example: Can´t understand that. Lukas
  11. Your US-EA82s are quite slow. I think your highway driving at low speeds (65 mph?) is responsible for that. Around here, every EA82, even the carbed ones reach 100mph easily, our EA82 MPFI (we have no SPFI) are even keen to go 112 mph. And the turbo-ones of course are another story... Of course we are only driving this speeds on the Autobahn, on country roads you must not go faster than 60 mph. Lukas
  12. The following Subarus got dual range here: Impreza Sports Wagon 1.5R (EL15) and 2.0R (EL20) Legacy Touring Wagon 2.0R (EL20) Outback 2.5i (EJ25) Forester 2.0R (EL20) But back to topic, and thats the new summer look of my Impreza. Lukas
  13. The paint quality on the Outback is very poor, our 2005 Outback has a lot of scratches and the whole suspension parts are rusted. :-\ Lukas
  14. Now its got 5000 miles and this "metallic" sound is completely gone. Its much quieter now and the Laser-exhaust produces a sweet roaaaaarrr... Also the performance got a lot better. But the fuel consumption is even getting worser, because I am using this new extra power the hole time. Its a miracle how the 1.5R and 2.0R EL-engines are getting better with every mile you drive. Brandnew they are slow, loud and tired but broken in they rev easily up to 7000rpm, their sound is always getting better and they are getting quicker every mile. You only need patience... Lukas
  15. Hi everybody, hi Connie! I only wanted to show you all my beloved Impreza 1.5R Sports Wagon 5MT D/R, which I bought new in december 2006. Now its got 7000km on the clock, so its not completely broken in, but it drives ways better than before. On our Autobahn, it goes up to 185 km/h easily, it needs 12,5 seconds for 0-60 mph and I drive it with 9 litres on 100km. But I drive it quite sporty, like everyone here does. Its no boring highway cruising, we go hills up hills down on curvy roads. This is how it lookes like in wintertime, with "Sparco" rallye-mudflaps, 15 inch rims and snow tires: And this is how it lookes now and during summer, with 16 inch subaru rims, no mudflaps and shiny as ever... I hope you like it, and YES, its got dual range... Lukas
  16. The OPEC is ways to strong and has a very strong lobby. They are not interested in factorys developing alternativ fuel.
  17. Modern high pressure commonrail-diesel are not suitable for PPO. Only the old indirect injection diesels. Lukas
