  1. fuel pressure regulator.. the rubber gets broke down and it goes... is it throwing any codes?
  2. uhhh... the 2 and the 4+ seem like some scaled number... stock alts run about 60 amps, and like the xt6 runs about 90... you need a real number... is it doing anything else strange? When running check volts at the battery... should be abouts 14 volts or so.
  3. http://www.awdpirates.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=12536 maybe super wheelin meet? watch an imp bash a body kit?
  4. I doesn't matter either way... I'll probably head up your way for the fenders when I get back from the Dragon.
  5. I totally forgot about the damn thing till the Monday before thheir meet... so I 2 day UPS'd it to them:banana:
  6. ttheres a connector right above ehere your feet go that whhen pulled or coroded or tugged it goes... look for a white connector that looks burned inside... or like a wire was pulled out... this happened on my 6 and is happening again... The first time my big foot tore it out, and now its gettting burned.
  7. Did you uhhh *cough* remember to plug the MAF back in? When I did the intake on the Rx yesterday I got back in and it stalled and I was like WTF?!..... but I had just forgotten to plug the MAF back in;)
  8. BAH! the valve covers are easy once you get the right tool... seek out a racheting wrench young one and all will be well.
  9. I've got 3 The legendary "Cheese Wedge" FWD MT5 '89 XT-6, runs like a champ The lifted '87 D/R wagon with LSD, best $200 I've ever spent... runs awsome Newest is the '88 Rx FT4wd D/R LSD runs like a french tank, sounds like an old man... 3 for 3:banana:
  10. Steves/Ronis/mikes turbo XT used to puull out the PCV tube on the pass side all the time and it would do this.... sounds like a vac leak, just the way you can floor it and get it to start
  11. I run with the covers on my 6 because I looked at it with out and didn't like how it looked... but my car is also VERY low. On the wagon I do it simply because I have never touched the belts... car was VERY well maintained. But are actually and dont leak near the belts....so its on for me... if it comes time to do something about the wagon or RX... I'll think about it:horse:
  12. If you do blow it up I have a turbo PB 4wd tranny you can have cheap... you can have the only on demand 4wd XT6.... and it'll get better MPG on the highway... but you'll have to provide the diff:grin:
  13. I should dyno all my junk... like my station wagon! Anyhoo, since Mike hasn't chimed in at all.... Hes got a spfi block with 2nd gen heads... NO intercooler No fuel management NOTHING, its all stock.
  14. I just did this on my XT6 due to the STi seat trying to kill thhe seatbelt. I just stole parts out of a early non power belt turbo XT, trim and all... the rear worked well, but the front still needs some lovin... the way the 2 pieces mount are different and my 6 doesnt have the right points... other then that the belt went right in and works great, but I cannot get the belt light to go off... ohh... and I also have the power belt in the pass side... ha ha for them:lol:
  15. nabisco met over memorial day weekend... I didnt go... traveling cross country this weekedn didnt sound like fun to me, I'll go when the peoples least expect it.... like next week.
  16. I'm gonna show up and disagree maybe. The 4wd and 2wd do have different discs but I think as long as they are both EA82s as long as you change the flywheel too, your set.
  17. 10th = T3h DRAGOOONNNNN!!! I'll be in NC. Are you the one who can't do sundays, or is that Shawn? You may just want to go without my wagon, I wont have any time for a while, like the 17th.... unless you push it out so I can get some time off:headbang:
  18. gotten the seats in it yet? If not, good luck.... gfetting the STi seat into my 6 was a PITA and I'd never want to ever do it again:mad:
  19. I disagree.. I got my cheap $20 gauges at wally mart. I plugged the oil pressure into the port for the turbo oil light which worked with the provided adapters and used the included cap tube for great success.... I have no issues at all and it was cheap... and the gauge is right on it seems:banana:
