I've done this to a brat you might dig up my thread... code 5 sounds like you dont ahve all the right power wires hooked into the ECU. Try checking the wiring diagrams again and making sure they are all good... there are like 5 power sources IIRC

This should be really simple... just like the SPFI, just more wires. Dont forget the fuel pump and random relays and such... you can also probably use the later ea82 intake, and you could even make it a hot wire. Your biggest issue will be the dizzy, but I just welded mine so its cake:banana:

if its got a hesitation when you romp on it it might also need a new O2 sensor... these old cars always need those things:grin:
