  1. I guess I'm just too sentimental for that. I get attached to whatever I put hours into, haha.
  2. Ahh, I thought you pulled it from your Brat. I figured that's why it was dirty
  3. Will you be selling the power-steering setup?
  4. Well... parts came in the other day: Rotors control arm bushings rack boots I was doing fine until my father decided to experience first hand how impossible the bushings are to get out without a press. I tried to explain, but no avail. So, right now: I have a really mangled control arm that still has bits of old bushing in it. Needless to say... the other side will be pressed. He had never seen a control-arm bushing without a lip on it before. He was not impressed with the difficulty it gave him. He's never had to send one to be pressed before. He's also never worked on an 80's soob before... Everything else was fine. Except this... This one of the dirtiest cars I have EVER worked on... and it sadly belongs to me. (this is after several cleanings. It was a lot worse) Had someone not left water in the pressure washer over the winter... I might have cleaned it. One step closer to being on the road
  5. They pop up every once in awhile. You could try a yard, but they can be time consuming to pull, and there is no guarantee it will work properly.
  6. RockAuto. If that fails, (which it shouldn't) contact ShawnW on here. He's the board admin, and owns a Subaru specialty shop. He can get it for you, im sure.
  7. Search your Craigslist for R-12. Thats what I do
  8. Leave cost aside? EJ. The numbers are just much better with one. Plus a lot of people will complain about the EA82, and how "it's stupid to pour money into these engines..." If you do build the ultimate EA82, and it holds up: you will be making history (and possibly money for selling specs) . Be prepared to be shot down on this idea... it always happens on here. This has some good info: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/131393-ea82t-performance-longevity-mods/?hl=%2Bea82+%2Bbuild&do=findComment&comment=1120215
  9. Yeah, I'd much rather you get my money. You have been good to me in the past, let me know. Thanks again John.
  10. Ok, thanks again. I guess I should call the dealership. I usually don't, but I'll give it a shot. We don't see Subarus in yards that often down here.
  11. I have reviewed your thread a few times, and have contemplated doing as you have. The dilemma is that they aren't in good enough condition to cast a mold with.
  12. Thanks a bunch. Do you have a link to the front ones?
  13. Yeah, this thing has been my favorite Subaru for awhile, I admire it.
  14. Im about to register the Brat again, and want to have the front end in top condition. I've done everything except Sway-bar bushings, and control arm bushings. The control arm bushings were easy to find, but the sway bar bushings... not so much. On RockAuto they're not listed for an 84 Brat, so I did 84 GL and: RAYBESTOS Part # 5501026 IIRC there are 4 bushings and two different sizes, correct? Thanks for the help in advance guys.
  15. Geez... looks real good. Wish I could afford them, lol. Nice job.
  16. Will you be selling the SC setup from the EA81? (sorry to hijack)
