  1. Metal panels?! How bout some Lexan so you can see out the bottom.
  2. http://driving.ca/scion/fr-s/auto-news/news/canadas-first-scion-fr-s-rally-racer-prepares-to-do-battle Good article on the car and a good team. Too bad they totaled it in the Canadian rally debut.
  3. Yep... here's the vid. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OywYUN62k6M
  4. He does know his pre-EJ stuff. Looking forward to when he finally has a car of his own put together.
  5. Sounds like fun. Unfortunately I haven't had time to swap out my struts since I bent them at WCSS. Just in case I magically get them done...what time are you going to be at the trail head?
  6. Agreed. I've never measured the travel just guesstimating. c4l... get the 6 piece.

Next project... solid axle swap. and Nico... I wish we had more cars like yours around here. Not too many people doing what you're doing either.
  8. Toe is not effected. Travel is approximately 7.5" down and a little less up because it rubs the top of the wheel well.
  9. Thanks Nathaniel!! Man I wish I could have picked up more speed for that jump! Damn auto is just too slow. Love those pics/vids of Jesse. That's how we all should have been!
  10. Thanks Adam. Only found a vid of my slowest run but still fun.
  11. If seen one or two rally prepped BRZ's in the states Here's a GT86 built by Tommi Makinen for the head of Toyota. http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/115232
  12. Interesting choices. Personally I wouldn't do Renton, although it depends on which neighborhood. The spot in Clear Lake would be close to our core group of old school lifted guys. Winlock is very small. If you thinking about Gig Harbor, that's not too bad as long as you're not crossing the bridge to Tacoma every day. The Olympus rally is based out of Shelton. Olympusrally.com for me info on that one.
  13. If you guys are leaving PDX at 10 then wouldn't that put in Tacoma around 12:30 - 1PM? Nick... I think DJ's brother doesn't get off work until 3 or 4. As much as I'd like to caravan with a big group, I'll probably wait for them.
  14. If you weren't a wongleflute what fun would that be? You speak the truth always and some people can't handle the truth. Don't change a thing. Olyroller83GL... I don't know squat about pre-EJ subies but there are lots of guys local to you that do. I know for a fact that if you show initiative by doing the research and then bribe them with barley pops you will get help sooner than later. Since you bought an SJR lift you should first asked Scott in a PM. If he doesn't get back to you then let people know that when you post your question.
  15. Not sure, what ever is stock on an 04, I do know they will be custom with Supra inners and Expedition outers. Apparently he's using a R154 Toyota trans with Supra diffs. Making good use of the parts he has lying around.
  16. It's MAGIC Robert! MAGIC. If you drink a sixer of barley pops, puff down a bowl or two, then put on your shemagh and some mirrored aviators then you might clearly see through the optical illusion presented in the above pictures. There is a ton of room for the Ford Expedition axles that are going in the front. Can you not see in 3D like the rest of us?
  17. The two pics I posted are the old style EJ components. I eliminated the trailing arm block and opted for for a longer trailing arm as that was a consistent catch point while off-roading. The second pic is the old style a-arm block. Scott sent me the new style block as a replacement and it has held up well. As far as tire size and struts go... I run a 235 on stock OB struts and springs so you will be fine with the 215s. Only reason I would change to Forester struts is to use the Ironman springs which are half the cost of the Kings and have a better spring rate. Camber has never really been an issue and neither have axles even running 2" over stock (7" strut block and 5" body blocks). If I started all over from scratch I would make my own 4" lift and use the Forester/Ironman combo or stick with the OB strut set up. If I was only running 215's I would nix the blocks and use 1" spacers.
  18. Sorry Nick but I'll be trailering my car there on Friday. Anyone north of Seattle will most likely be taking the ferry.
