All these taters trying to wheel vicariously through us...too funny. On a side note, so glad Bret Michaels could join us for a day of wheelin. Think he will autograph a couple of pics for me?
-
WSU?! Are you studying veterinary medicine or agricultural science? Just kidding. We'll miss having you around. and BTW... GO HUSKIES!!!
-
If you're trying to link them from an FB album I don't think it works. No problem using G+ or another host.
-
It's for the stance yo! Actually Dan is correct. If I run stock wheels I don't need spacers but I use jeep wheels so technically they're wheel adapters.
-
No rubbing on the perches. I've got OB struts on her now and I don't rub with a 1" spacer. Only place I get rubbing is the back of the wheel well on full lock. xxx... you will need to grind down that seam and take a BFH to the backside of the wheel well.

You'll have to do a lot of trimming. Basically trim it at the paint line below the pin striping. Like this.. You will still need a 1" spacer with the stock wheel. Funny to look back at all the changes Stella has gone through with each owner. The only OEM parts left on her are the dash and most of the shell.

South Enders... Meet at Safeway on Canyon near 512 @ 6:30 and leave @ 7? 512 to 167 to 405 to I-5 is easier on some of the cars than taking I-5 all the way.

Just thought I would share a fun project that TSSFab has got going on right now. A few of you have seen some of the pics but I figured I would throw it out there for everyone. Pics aren't necessarilly in order for the first post but I'll keep the updates coming as they happen. Rear Front Subframe Control Arms

Man I have been trying to track down that rattle for months! Never thought to check the hinge side.

Still not sure where you're coming up with a binding issue. The only thing holding me up from more travel is my struts. My suspension was setup with the strut at full droop so that it wouldn't bind. Tires are 30's so according to your formula that would be 6.66". Math is a little flawed since the stroke on my struts is 6.49". Only way I'm going to get more travel is with coilovers.

Never measured but here are some pics... Anymore than that and I might start breaking axles.

long travel Outbacks or making Subarus faster and more reliable offroad

Holy crap...no wonder you're breaking/bending stuff! Way too fast. Looks like a fun place to wheel though. -
It's just the angle of the pic. No binding what so ever and I've had it flexed to the max in both directions.

LOL... sounds like you need to STFD. The Forester wheels are weaker. You're better off with Legacy steelies which are probably the same as on your Imp. Beef up everything. That pic above is everything I beefed up after I ripped my trailing arm bracket (including captive nuts) out of the body. Everything was bent including the strut and subframe.

You two need to stop being scaredy cats. Walker is no worse than a lot of places we normally wheel, its just a lot more terrain. Instead of doing all the same obstacles over and over its a full day of fun stuff.
-
How 'bout a pic from today when they're clear and not caked in mud? Walker isn't a mud pit like the top of Ricky J's.

zap... Does that mean you're going to come RallyX with us on Saturday in Clatskanie? /threadjack todd... I've got Winterforces on OB alloy rims for my rallyx car and BFG KM2's on aftermarket steelies for the wheeler. Rear suspension bits are all tubular so they can handle the abuse. I guess what it really comes down to is your ultimate goal for the car. Are you going to wheel it or rally it?
-
Your tires should be fine for Walker.
-
You can still ride along so you know what you're in for.

Jeff... what was the trail we came down the last time near the end? Need to do that one again... More fun than Ron's Run.
