  1. Hey All I hope I'm not scewing this up but here goes: I have a 1988 Subaru GL with 226xxx miles and dual range 4x4. In short, it doesn't run very well and before I owned it, wasnt' taken care of very well. It still does run with some tender love and care. But its only a (short) matter of time until it craps out. The two big problems are clutch and headgasket. CV joints were just replaced but are still making clicking noises and it sounds like the rear rotars are starting to rub when I step on the brakes. On top of that it leaks just about everything into everywhere. The coolant has to be refilled (not just topped off) every 2-3 days. Bad news bears. The good news bears is that Bart (the Soob) still has a lot of working parts. Dual range 4x4 is solid, as is transmission, power steering, front brakes, cv boots, radiator (for the most part), whole interior, wheels, automatic gadgets, heating/ventilation, interior lights, headlights, e-brake, alternator, internal thermometer etc. And the really good news is that it has a clean title and I have every shred of evidence of any work ever done on Bart from his beautiful youthful beginning. So My question to all of you who know more about Soobies than I do is this: Do I part out Bart the Soob or is there someone who might want to buy it? Any advice is welcome Thanks
