  1. 1srt thing check pu screen on feul pump intake many runabbility problems there feul press ok how was the volume ? also might be maff problem or broken wires any CE light ? But sounds like feul delivery to me mabee time for new pump have been putting in Hp feul pumps in subarus as of late seems to realy help stock 140 lph hp 260 lph
  2. try a axle boot from gm fwd have some fairly sturdy plastic boots and rubber ones with more ribs have had good luck with those olds delta 88 I think was very close

The phase one ej 2.5 with phase 2 ej 2.5 pistons gives you a stroker 2.5 this is probly the biggest torque engine NA that could be putt together without different rods / crank will push pistons up high and I had to use thick headgaskets but tons of bottom end torque Was to bad the NOS killed it was nice engine
  5. Have a 77 dl wagon for parts only has 22000 kms on it no floor at all but very nice rear seats and rear carpet interior front seats are gone
  6. on race car we putt a tee at upper heater hose hooked to a rad cap to the tee [ just a blank radcap top from ea rad ] this gave us a cap up high that can be opened to let air out or fill works very well. What axle combo do you need have over a 100 axles here every kind every year trans output ? front knukle year ? I could test the fit on bench
  7. Have piles of intakes injectors senser ect no ej DRs as they did not come to Canada only ea82 DRs have many many core trannys to I can barly move in my shop so time for some parts to go { the 79 trans xmember a'm stuck waiting for snow to go ] to get a look
  8. Have just way to many engine parts ej from 89-04 heads blocks cranks rods pullys ect have matched sets of heads twins singles 2.2s . Can be surfaced if needed or if you just need one hard to find part I might have it. My tiny shop is being overrun with ej motors. And have 50 + trannys for parts 20 airbag sestems just way to many parts for the room I have avalibble

  10. Throw it right in the trash rad pluger seal eater heater pluger have seen no good from this product. Was A dealer attempt to get the cars off warranty before head gaskets failed.
  11. I was going to say ea82 pistons are known for having weak ring lands don't use them ej engine will tear them apart. You would be better off building a good 2.5 with some good pistons and h beam rods a 2.0 is fairly small
  12. yes two realy bad spots to watch for meatal inside cams and rocker tubes also the oil passages in block

I put outback struts in my 98 outback sport the rear pattern on top was diferent so I sloted the holes had to bang the body in slightly on rear to fronts drop in lifted it about 3 inchs with the biger tires On the rear I had to use trailing arrn front bracket from outback to get arm to drop and get alinment right
  14. the cranks can be turned down and engines rebuilt yours needs one rod but if 2.2 is same rod all years cost me 150 $ to get crank turned.

  16. bummer is a massive hood scoop on mine so nowere to meshure from my ej 2.5 4 cam turbo engine in 79 wagon has about 3/4 of a inch from intake to hood. Not counting intercooler
  17. The Subaru headgaskets have extra reinforcing steel on lower fire rings making them 60 % stronger were it realy matters is worth using them if not replacing them a good retorque is worth doing to
  18. If not at tdc the valve maybe open and test results will not be accurate Make shure you are holding crank locked or shop air will turn motor over. The 2.51 was bad for external and internal leaks All ej2.5s have problem with leaking slight bits of coolant into oil thru lower right headbolt into oil gally the coolat gets in oil then pcv pulls out water but leaves sugars ect was problem with all 2.5s
  19. I have used the 85-89 gl cables on older cars has a two bolt setup instead of loop worked good and solid boltup
