  4. I love the SU stupid simple and one jet to change the thiner the oil the faster the response i ran su into a turbo for years worked realy good for pull thru setup. Was very easy to make work and tune but needed carb heat to keep from freezing
  5. I fix this one lots use sunlight dish soap mixed with water light mix must be very hot and a sponge get it realy foamy and wash buttons the soap foam will pullout the stickyness and hold it in the sponge takes a cupple washes and some time but fixes them right up no pulling apart needed

  8. Got a set of 33/1400 tsl boger paddle tires for buggy step up from the 31 10.50s at least 2 inch more height and a lot wider
  9. The dealer said is same piston for ea71 and ea81 all ea71 all ea81s ex turbo cars a'm rebiulding a ea 81 for airplane and when resarching pistons this is what we were told by dealer. I oppted for the 94 ea82 pistons as they have the strongest ring lands. And reliability is key.
  10. All the mud boggers use a simple chain and gear drive setup even up to 3000hp cars the more hp the stronger the chain the big hp guys use a dubble chain and 4 sprocets. But very few use a T case. Makes for quwick gear ratio changes and sprockets and chains are cheap at princess auto and endless ratios to pick from. Of the 100 drag cars iv'e seen with thiss setup have never seen on fail or come apart.

  12. I had one of those fans try to kill me split in half at 5500 rpms missed my face by mms was a sobering exp it had a small crak that we never noticed no warning just split in half

Heres a good one 03-09 2.5 turbos breaking the oil PU tube off and wiping out bottom end. One more 99-04 2.51s cly head droping ex valve giudes check all ex valve guide height. They sell a slightly biger guide that can be pressed in place of stock ones. And so on
  14. when i do addaptor plate i use 4 studs two from back side and two from front side drill out threads in block and then two nuts hold to block and four studs to tranny makes it nice to line up and no potruding bolt threads. i found the trick was to only tap 3/4 of the way so stud locks at bottom works great and no locktite needed
  15. If the idle motor shorts it drops injector pulse on #1 cly check idle motor and its conections
  16. Why whould you remove the cam pullys any engine after 99 has liftime cam seals in them leave them alone asking for problems
  17. Pitch that clutch fan away junk nothing but problems riuned rads water pumps ect the berring in pump is to weak for the load of fan and electric fan can cool it just fine on its own
  18. we use nos on subaru engines alot is critacal to get the foger to have right mix of feul and nos a dry shot on subaru engine will kill it try a 0.16 nos pill and a 0.18 feul pill to start i belive a 0.16 is the smallest avalible start with the smallest posibble combo and work up slowly from there. To mutch will bend rods or shatter pistons Ask me how i know this lol by the end of race season we were running a 120 mpi shot witch takes 4 foggers 3 soiliniods extra feul pump nos ecu ect but add 120 hp to 250 hp turbo engine and hang on !
  19. Buy a subaru belt then marks are paited on it dotted line in center oppest the keyway small scribed line both cams strait up line on belt lines up with small scribed line on cams DO NOT USE ARROWS as they are only for valve addjustments
