Yes i have ea81 into 78 wagon i used the 4 speed deul range took some shifter mods strut brace mods clutch cable carb hoses mounts worked rad works drive shaft works overall the car performed way better and had high low. Took me about 3 days work but i had whole engine and runing gear to work with. Also had my 81 brat with factory ea81 in old body to compare factory install to mine worked good
  2. No to subaru conditioner no good at all just gums up coolant sestem I will never use it ever or install it it was only made to get subarus off waranty not to fix anything just to limp heads past 160000kms I call booooooo on that product
  3. Is the green test mode timing conectors unpluged also the black single wire ones unpluged if its still pluged in timing will not be right
  4. The average headgasket job that gos thru here is 2000$ for manual and 1500-1800$ auto good used ej2.51 1500 min is hard to find and we have had to pay up to 2000$ for used motor from wreaking yard
  5. I have addaptors the my freind regan made ej to deul range he may have more hes on my freinds list
  6. A pump from vw cis eg rabbit or ealy jetta or volvo mecedes or vw efi van all use remote hp feul pumps look for CIS car in particular as they needed high feul preshure to run I run a vw cis pump on my car way biger and meaner than subaru one
  7. The maff dosent open it weighs the air coming in by how fast it moves bad maff no idle no revup flooding ect lacking power not a maff thing timing ? feul delivery ? leaks after maff on vacume sestem or timing diagnostic conector pluged in.
  8. The 4 cly one fitts in same place just a bitt smaller and dosent have the bypass junk on the side
  9. 07 is the newest car have done headgaskets on at 145000kms oil leaking on bottom ds back coner of head I do headgaskets and timing belt at 150000kms all late model ej engines i find it funny that the stock battery and belts outlast the headgaskets.
  10. Now tuning time 1/12 weeks till next race time to set up the deul stage nos 50 to start and 120 at 3/4 mark on track hoping we can get some test passes in before next race and get a bitt better dialed in
  11. Probly some kind of stop leak left over or left over from head job change coolant and flush and see if it comes back if it dose reheadgasket or craked block or leaking block half coolant oring. But probly just needs good cleaning

Take off slave cly remove the piston clean around the bore with 600 grit snadpaper or hone lube with brake lube reassemble and reinstall drain syestem and use dot 4 fliud it has higher boiling point so works better on hot engine. have been finding the slave sticks half way back up and will not let fliud move into the slave. Have fixed 4 or more in last cupple months is mostly peadal sticking to floor problem
  13. Wreaker trans when they go i change out front diff pinion and awd tail assembly
  14. I most defanatly smoked the backside of crown / pinion and only did a 150 backwards pass mind you 300+ hp with nos and 31 paddle tires. It dident break just melted smeared and striped. I a'm still not a beliver of backwards runing diff

  17. Back to turbo agian sounds good ready to tune for next race took 2 hours to change back not to bad at all
  18. drop it on a frame or make your own subframe setup toyota diffs mabee transfer case then whynot 2 speed powerglide behind 2.2 with transfercase lightweight and buletproff next thing a'm working on is subaru to chev bell houseing addaptor 350 in subaru and 2 speed in subaru sounds good to me or rwd subaru with 4l60 or 4l80 gm trans or buggy with ls1 engine subaru trans take that yea old 4eat lol
  19. Chage all bulbs first have been having problems with bulbs geting old on rears and water geting into sockets ect check / change rear bulbs the flasher is built into the combo switch on colum is non serviceabble but a few whacks on top of collum may help if thats whats up
  20. whoops missed that then the springs inside the clutch disck are getting loose and rattling
