Always look were you just were when they come in to me like this very first thing i do is see what the onwer did last is good place to start. Could the cam timing be off ? Could the intake gasket get pinched coolant level low wires pulled out of iac. Coolant senser not pluged in or damaged wire harness pinched under maifoild main engine conectors pushed pinout or bent pins main intake ground. Things I doubt whould be wrong ECU is tough dosent fail often crank /cam senser will not run without iac is fairly reliabble not many go bad tp senser very rare to go bad and dose not fail in idle pos O2 whould only efect it hot. my money is on damaged wireing somwere

1/8 - 1/4 free play under the addjuster nut to fork and in 1rst gear with clutch in car should not try to move at all if trying to creap ahead needs more peadal should disangae about 1/2 way up -
shure drive it up i will give you 2000$ mind you cost you that to get it here i worked on one yesterday I realy liked it had 304000kms on it I had done trans at 275000 kms had eaten up the plaentarys used trans and good to go that trans was jamed and whould not move at all. Before you get to frustrated take it to a trans shop that can plug scaner into it they can watch the preshures and shift points on scaner while they drive this can at least tell you if its preshure problem or mecanical problem

So the starter interlock / alarm starter kill curcit has a box marked keyless entry unit or somthing like that inside it is a set of switchs 3 or 4 of them in differnt positions actavates differnt things eg ig kill starter kill light on or off horn ect there is realy good info out there on how to set it up. Also i think if you try 3 times to start unsucsesfully will not let it start at all. On the six we used on race buggy there was one wire had to be hooked up to fool the alarm engine kill curcit or whould not run. also like tex said check feul preshure and confirm ig realy power up.

I fix rusted out lines dayly i put 5/16 high preshure line over the meatal line and clamp it i only use subaru stainless efi clamps as they do not cut into line and have a more + seal I find taking a length of wire tapeing it to line then feed wire thru and pull line thru with wire. I did change one proper way from front to back had to take out front and rear seat carpet seatbelt heater fan undoo ps side of dash was many hours and a real pain but doabble.

looks right change cabble check that the fork is seated to the ball pivot sounds like streched cabble addjust it to about 1/8 inch play. If the disk was backwards the plate whould not look like it does also did you change the small pilot berring I find is very hard to install without damaging it did the transs go on nicely ? or was it a fight -
For shure lifts the front tires off the ground my favorot is shift to second while the tires are spinning in first that gets her hooked up quwick. Have done reverse wheelies but kills front diff fast the 4.44 ratio is not as strong as the higher gears so is easy to break. Anyway new engine is in sounds sweet got Hbeam manly rods and cp forged pistons arp head studs the engine we used was a 05 forester engine had a nice bore still runs very even and good pulses out the pipe. Hoping the rod failure is a thing of the past the H beams are twice as thick in the centers as the 2.51 rods shorter stroke mind you droped in ccs but make up for it in strength going to dial the nos back and add more feul plugs had gone lean. And the two rods that were not broke were both bent they had colapsed and had a S to them gess there was some high cly preshures going on on the good side pistons held up no broken ring lands.

Have been doing headgasket after headgasket and bottom ends one after the other yesterday dead engine 06 wrx oil full / clean knocked out no reason. The sixs are stronger but nowere near as strong as a good V8. I do like the way they sound and perform and I have no relliabblity problems. But the subaru fleet suffers from engine failure freequently and lots of engine problems before 150000kms. I know thiss will bug some people but subaru engines are not that strong or reliabble. In one year 80 failed engines mabee i only see the bad ones but i think is more going on. when a stock TBI chev 350 go's 400000kms no problem or a honda or toyota engine gos 400000kms with no head problems. sorry a'm beeing drawn to the dark side!
