  1. Realy was a dud cant work with a non interupted signal bummer so runs the same NOS setup on last years engine keep your fingers xrossed and will let you guys know how she does. No flushing the crapper this weekend !!!!
  2. dude there is 50 of them have done lots ej22b with 99 outback twin cam heads 90 2.2 with 03 251heads 2.2 na with outback twinn cams 2.5d with 2.2 heads 1.8 with 2.2 heads my favort one the 2.2 na with 2.51 phase 2 heads this engine is a workhorse and uber reliabble. Note all theese engines require speatial time and care and mods to make work headgasket mods timing belt mods addjusters mods ect. Head port matching and intake mods. The engine combos have differnt block deck heights I also plane block halfs and heads then all deck to piston heights are checked and addjusted accodingly

Well you know by now that ivans therys are always different I dobut it whould have hurt trans towing it like that as it whould have no line preshure to engage awd clutch and the car whould be tilted up on front filling the back of trans with fliud so no run dry. To be honest i think it can only do damge to standard cars towing them like thiss or runing auto cars not runnning not awding. Did anyone check the rearmost Ujoint ? and how long dose it take to go into gear cold first time in morning ? the longer the worse it is. a'm a bitt confused about the VDC trans the vdc one i pulled apart was exactly the same as regular outback one no diff i could see anyway

Stop runing it till fixed what you cant see is the coolant leaking into the oil and evaporating off if its leaking externaly then its leaking internaly thats geting coolant into oil even tho you dont see it its geting in then pcv pulls the water out but leaves the sugars and additives from coolant in oil needs head surface and gaskets. PS do just as mnay forester headgaskets as outback ones no ej 2.5 is immune to headgasket failure. Have done over 40 heagasket jobs in last 6 months
  5. The one i did was a 96 into a 99 the trans looked diferent but fitt the same exept one had 8 bell bolts one had 4 there are differnces in the shiftter linkages tho
  6. Oh and good news i thoght i had only a 194 ft pass but turns out that i broke the beam so 3 compleate passes go figure engine broke 2 ft past the finish line but gives me my points for the year end nice
  7. Thanks matt we are installing a 5 second time limit realy on nos sestem to prevent to long of nos burn any longer than 7 seconds and toast !

Nice 620 ! so your engine is leaking oil / coolant from the ds lower part of head and ps front lower part of head ? or boiling over coolant bottle ? dose the engine still run good ? any piston slap when cold ? I ushaly do head surface Head gaskets reseal timing belt idler pullys and waterpump all at same time and pull the engine and put it on stand to do thiss job is way better than trying to do in car. Make shure you surface heads is absolut must be done.
  9. They like to get all 16 dont miss one have all valves checked even if they look good. I have had good luck with CP forged pistons and a'm geting some manley H beam rods to try suposed to be good for 600 hp. Also have many 2.51/2.53 heads here for parts if in need good luck and take your time rushing gets nowere
  10. no is powered all the time check rear u joint is worst when cruiseing on hyway remember h6 has a posi rear diff this puts more load on ujoints a'm thinking more and more that is your problem
  11. I put a bar agianst the frame rail and hit starter undose the crank bolt every time or lock crank with bar into flex plate sounds like timing off or feul pump stuck did it have feul preshure ?
  12. the subaru trans is still not ment to go backwards mabee addaptor plate to volks transs but then 2wd have seen reversing gear boxs for boats ect have you ever seen a porche 944 ? runs a tube from engine to trans is like 8 ft long but proves that can have engine in front and trans in the back and hold up have seen theese cars with 300+hp and the 8 ft input shaft holds up so could the trans be mounted remotly or somthing like that

  14. Sorry is hard to explane the air ratio from the o2 sends signals to ecu so if its reading lean ratio its telling ecu to go ritch and if its reading a ritch ratio its telling ecu to go lean. The 02 sweeps back and forth. can you put a pic of the map senser / boost senser / turbo wastegaste controler setup on your rig mabee somthing hooked up wrong
  15. Drain front diff oil and check for debrie on the magnet sounds like the front pinion berring is going out is commen on h6 have done 3 now also they eatup planetarys.
  16. Thats not a bad idea or find a member who wants somthing that can trade or whos coming to get parts anyway I dont think they will let Ivan the teribble axross the border to easy
  17. Have somone drain and check the front diff oil see if any meatal debries on magnet little ok alot bad i get thiss sound when front pinion berring is on its way out
