  1. have seen a 4barrel of a rx7 on ea82 was a neat trick
  2. use all parts that match car exept engine cam gears and reluctor gear ecu intake harness the 2.2 seystem will run the 2.5 no problem might have to change injectors

  4. fixed mine yesterday the belt was slipping on the ribs of the ps pully but was tight the ribs of the belt were worn enuff that was not grabing when under load changed belt and problem was fixed was not sliping on alt just ps was weird but new belt fixed it instantly i put a wrench on ps pully and was able to turn it and engine did not turn with it after i changed my rack and pump fixed it with a 25 $ belt
  5. heres a tip if you pull down the roof liner and glue all the seams with winshied urathane then fill all the spaces with expanding foam will make the roof way tougher and less vibrations
  6. when the trans gos we put in 4.,44 ratios and a high stall from a 2.2 2wd and that kicks it in the pants the flex plate bolts up the same and wire harness could be cut down it would be very front heavy in a impreza is not a light motor and most of the weight is in front of axle would be a cool westfalia engine
  7. have run into 3-4 outbacks and legacys that if a large person rides in drivers side when they get out and back in agian the seatbelt makes a loop around the seat back adjuster and when driver leans forward the seat back releases unexpextedly thiss would be very dangerous if car was in crash with seatbelt like thiss I advise all my customers about thiss is a simple fix but a very overlooked problem please advise customers about thiss problem
  8. the stock pistons are realy weak worse than 1600 pistons same dementions as the wrx one just slightly smaller the wrx ones are at least 50-70 % stronger by design and have a ceramic coating and a slight dish to drop comp ratios. I broke 2 pistons on thiss six runing on propane so was not detanating but the pistons just couldent take boost they are flat tops with realy thin sides and very little space between ring lands. Is there even any forged pistons avalible for a 3.0 six ?
  9. yes i know fixed thiss yesterday on a 98 forester the rods for the shifters lay in the bottom of the case when they move on a downhill any crap in trans gets pulled into the rod and jams it up take very little materail to do thiss tiny bit of meatal or dirt the rods are the lowest point the way to fix it is to park on realy steep uphill forward facing and work the shifter 1rst to second many many times till it moves freely thiss will spit out any bitts that are traped and hopfully move them down towards magnet then change fliud have fixed at least 4 of them 2 had to pull cases apart to get unjamed was dirt in rods both times
  10. I whant to put 6 wrx pistons in my 3.0 six has anyone done thiss ? very close in size and stroke and way way stronger have 2 3.0 sixs and like the engine but pistons were weak any ideas ? oh and i have my own boring bar and block bench setup for boring subaru engines
  11. also check the harmonic balancer has not seperated have seen the outer part spining on the center part and not turning accserorys properly
  12. takes about 2 hours with hoist and is a pain to keep collum alined i a'm having thiss problem in my 80 wagon uses a 89 gl 10 rack was very stiff ps changed rack no diff think is a fillter or valve inline with pump gets sticky havent changed pump yet but is next step have seen the vanes in pump get worn and drop preshure
  13. had one other day they put in diss 180 out then moved the plug wires to run like that was a pain to get it right use the forum luke !
  14. sounds like you are missing the power wires somwere on the realy feed or bad ground on brown ig realy it has 2 power sources think you are missing one. If the idle motor is not working it will lose the pulse to the #1 injector but will still run fine on 3 sound like power problem or feul have had problems with intank pu not being big enuff for 2.2 demands but would still stay runing are you useing the factory feul pump relay or legacy one they work diferantly one grounds to turn on pump one powers to turn on pump

  17. heater core take 1 hour pull the whole dash out drop cullom and pullout whole heater box as unit watch for cracks were the lines go into core have had good luck with geting a rad shop to recondition cores is fairly cheap
  18. have a xt6 5ive speed apart next to the awd trans from legacy the pinion shaft is longer on the xt awd than the legacy one but i can put the 3.90 from the xt 6 into my rx deul range to get 3.90 instead of 3.70 theese trans are very simalar but legacy one is differant
  19. funny all the 2.5s i see are all 4.44 have not seen a 4.11 in any 2.5 mabee they only came to canada in the 4.44 ratios even the 3.0 six had a 4.44 ratio and all outbacks and legacy gts and foresters here all 4.44 i cant keep the 4.44 diffs in stock have had a 4.11 one here for years cause only came in the 89-91 legacys and the late model 2.2s 96-02 gess us canadians need some lower gears lol
  20. probly theese cars love to run lean any way they can find subaleanarus power na we whant milage was going to put some 2.53 injectors into the 2.51 and see if that helps i did convert a 2.51 intake to take the side feed 2.5d injectors the side feeds seem to be better and move more feul
  21. looking for some rear air struts for a 85-89 gl10 wagons if anyone has any have 4 but all from sedans and xts 1-1/2 to short need wagon ones
