  1. change pully or weld the ring back on gentaly this ring likes to find its way between the belt and pully with not so good results
  2. heres the diff as far as trans are concerind 2.2 has a 2800 stall torque coverter and 2.5 has a 2100 stall converter ratios are diferant 2.5 is 4.44 2.2 is 4.11 brakes are smaller on 2.2 cars sway bars and struts are smaller wheels and have less options on 2.2 cars the engines interchage not to badly exept for egrs on some have put many a 2.2 in 2.5 hole
  3. most efi systems default to ritch map when loose imputs to make shure a lean condition dosent happen and damage catts have changed many o2s with hopes of cureing 420 but never fixed it and any bad o2s set codes for o2 I a'm covinced that is a under feuling problem injectors or lack of feul somhow was thinking of putting in a realy dirty air fillter to force it ricth and see if turns off light

Finaly have some answers the feul injectors are way to small and cant move enuff feul had talked with the dealer tech says that the injectors plug slightly and do not move enuff feul to heatup cats the fix whould be biger injectors or motovac injector flush but is defanatly a lack of feul geting to engine from injectors lean lean lean mabee toyota or nissan or honda injectors somthing bigger
  5. well race seasons over so no need to be nice to it anymore i cant wait to take it out in snow for a play or back to the beach in burton i dont know if my little wrx turbo can boost more than 15 psi but can try and have a #5 jet for water meth and a # 28 for nos and a # 38 for feul should make for fun playing one of my rear air struts is blown and the rear wheel is bent out 3 inchs from deep hole contest so some repairs are in order but got in every single pass all season no dnfs and still has all 4 cly

  8. head is warped on lower side on #1 hole a clen plug means water was hiting it look at gasket closer
  9. snap on sells a punch ment for the job has a tit on the end to sit in the pin hole to center it works very well with a six inch extention like GD said the punch is like 30 $ and i love mine has done 500 pins no problem the ps side is a pain i come from above sometimes is easyer

  11. coolant temp senser could cause lean and is in a bad enviroment mabee it could be damaged from overheating or headgaskets or just slightly gos out of range

It worked unreal made hudge power did a 39 second run at rev limiter full nos and a # 3 water meth sprayer was night and day the pitts were very deep was deeper than my wheels i beat the 454 and the 440 but couldent catch the 517 or the 383 both over 900 hp came in 3rd in B class makes me 3rd over all was crazy to see how mutch diferance the water meth made I'm a beliver now the buggy engine never ran like that before every run was long and had to realy work the engine but came home running on all 4 and smother and more vacume than ever water meth makes me very happy even without the nos on is a noticabble differance probly 10-15 % more before the nos was defanatnly making more power !
  13. have a whole 77 dl for parts if need anything i'm using it to restore my 77 brat but alot of stuff is no good to me has some very good intior parts and some glass and other goodies
  14. I like the idea of a volksy trans in a subaru rear engine would be neat we are putting a 2.5 twinn cam in a 73 super bettle will be neat car subaruper bettle
  15. have you modifyed the intake boot to the air fillter at all ? cold air intakes somtimes cause problems is all the pcv plumbing in proper place all vacume lines and hoses in right places stuff like that
  16. put in the methanoll kit and tested it but have not tried it yet I cut my tires so mutch that dont whant to run it on pavment for fear of hurting cut tires have a nice hook to them now keep them sharp for race anyway off to the races hope it works good for me
  17. i check that stuff out very closly i can hear a intake leak a mile away most of theese car have new engines and all new gaskets and seals at min the headgaskets have been done could having been run with bad headgasket cause 420 ? have had to replace the o2s on most but just to many cars with same code to be somthing as easy as a intake leak
  18. the soild exhaust hanger will cause vibrations try and rubber mont it to isolate the noise i do not like solid hangers unless has a flex joint in line will cause you to feel the exhaust in the trans and shifter
  19. i call bull the grease thats in the berrings is ceap china grease crap i live in salt and gravel hell that grease whould be done in 50000kms i always clan it out and put in a good industral heavy grease and lots let it leak out at least the dirt wont get in every car i get has buckets of dirt and salt in the suspention mabee if you live in a dry area but not round here I have done over 100 wheel berring thiss year and replaced the grease in evry one before install standard procedrue and they dont come back in that 100 45 were doing it over after a shop had just recently done the berrings the back ones from 91-01 are the worst because most shops do not support the rear berring when they press it and break the race
  20. have seen the wastegate valve get sloppy and leak and bypass and diafram get weak in wasgate pot sounds like lean to me or tracked plug or tracked wire or valve addjustment witch is a pain took me 12 hours to addjust the last one had to remove heads and indavidualy ajust valve hight to get it right was realy missing when hot and idleing poorly hot but ok when cold got worse as it heated up the valves were at 0.08 - 0.10 and should have been 0.20 0.25 mm made a hudge differance in how it ran
  21. stop leak makes me lots of money wreaks lots of good motors and will never fix head gasket problems to mutch preshure there and toast rad and heater core too
