Thus, my point, lol.

Also, why the need for an AP? I am in the other boat and prefer not using them. Sure you can clear codes and load maps but those maps are not custom to your ride. With open source you can do the same thing, albeit with a laptop. There is a fantastic tuner in Denver called Dave Bigley who runs Cryotune - <CryotunePerformance@yahoo.com>. Dave had a special last Halloween for $135 stage 1,2,3 tunes and I got one. They are e-tunes but he is fantastic and makes a completely custom map for our altitude and build. He sent me 8 revisions until my Legacy was 100%knock free and seeing continuous boost at 15 PSI through the mid to upper powerband. Far better than a COBB map and I have seen and can prove that open source is a better tune. You also save the $4-600 on an AP. As you live in the Denver area you can even get a custom tune with Dave in the car. That is even better than e-tuning. Just a thought.

Dang I want a Fozzie even more now!! Looks great so far. Lip would look better body color in my opinion but it is not my Subie, lol. I need to start wheeling and deeling like you and get some wheels going for my new Legacy.

New updates? No. She has become a trash receptacle as of late and getting buried with other "life" stuff. I also attribute this to the weather and my new Son. I just have no time. But I am not giving up on her and I may have a new sibling for her (1979 Wagon) soon. Then I get to swap some much needed parts. Time and money are not my friends this winter..

Yes, and that elusive clip is not so easy to find - unless you hoard them.
-
Bout to pick up a '79 Wagon as well but in the 2WD flavor. Love what your's has become. Did I miss you having a build thread cause I looked for one. Love the red!
-
Don't know how I missed this one? Great job! I always like reading your builds. Makes me wish I was 15 and had nothing more to worry about, lol. Great job on everything!

Loyale more trouble than it's worth?
O.C.D. replied to GlenSz's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
x2 This is not a big deal. Seen MUCH worse. -
Been there and done that with the door locks on my 80 Brat. They are fairly easy to get at. The connecting rods are probably not connected. Could be the door lock as well. There is a little arm that goes from the handle to the actuator. As for electric, good luck, lol.........

after 2 and a half years of searching heres my 1980 brat
O.C.D. replied to skinny664521903's topic in Members Rides
Yeah, then scan it and let me know cause I need one, lol. Nice Brat! Let the addiction begin. -
That the oil sending pressure switch off the pump? What part number is it by chance.

Beautimus! I really like the blacked out trim they did on the front of the mid-late 70's front ends. Definitely going the black route with my GL front end. You missing the hood lip chrome piece? Great looking car!
-
Ok so I missed all the pics of the flat black. Looks really good! Leave the rusty wheels though - adds a touch of vintage, lol.
-
Aw and I thought those pics were just for me.... lol

Parts intergchange - 70's Wagon/Brat Doors
O.C.D. replied to O.C.D.'s topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
Dang it I was thinking that as was the case. ARGH And here I thought I found some new doors. Dang it. Thanks for the info. -
About to buy a 1979 Wagon (2WD) as I need the doors and a few other parts. I am more than positive that the hood and fenders are able to be swapped. I can't seem to find any info on the doors. Victim - 1979 DL Wagon Recipient - 1980 GL Brat If this can be confirmed I would appreciate it. Based on what I have learned it should be the same aside from the extra doors and wagon rear.

Gen 1 Subaru brat hot wheel
O.C.D. replied to Pooparu's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
Got mine yesterday and tore into one. Going to need a lot of work. But that is the fun. Between my real Brat, my Legacy, new baby and life in general I am sure ill fit a 1/64 build in, lol. -
Gen 1 Subaru brat hot wheel

Easily remedied with some brake fluid and time. I bought a few just to mod a couple as I love making them custom. -
Yup, it was horrible. A complete and damage free Legacy. It was after a snow storm and I lost all control in the parking lot at work. Couldn't stop or turn and just plowed into a dumpster enclosure at 20. $4,000 in damage and she is looking better than before. New hood, fender, intake, bumper, headlight, etc, etc....

Ah the STI Intercooler/Manifold swap, nice. Did you do Phenolics as well? Or is that a STI complete swap? VF52? Brembos too boot! That Sir is a lovely Legacy.

Ah cripes, another one to waste $25 on. Oh well, Love me da Subies! -
Sure there is a mod - mustache chrome has been plasti-dip'd, lol. I got my 05 Manual wagon about 2 months ago. Love it! Done the banjo filter mod, catless up-pipe, stage 1, COBB short throw and bushings, Shell Rotella oil and some other goodies. My 4th Subie and I love it the most. She decided to play with a trash dumpster before Christmas. But she is all fixed now. Anyway, back to you. Is she a 5 speed? Mileage?

Go stage 2 and say that!!!! Nice 2012/13. I miss my 2011 at times.
