  1. I am part too lazy, part too busy. I guess I've just been thinking that I would have to do it sooner or later anyways, it's at about 160k, and it seems like these cars are very prone to bhgs, might as well do it over the summer. I have finals coming up and I haven't done anything to the car. but yes, I know, how easy is it to sniff the radiator? I can never seem to remember until it's gotten too hot, then I just walk away and forget again until the next time its too hot to open. I'll definitely do a compresion check soon, finals is coming up, just 2 more weeks and I'll have plenty of time to get some work in oh yes, and no overheating at all, but I guess I don't drive too far/too long either
  2. Great, thanks. I ordered the HS9392PT2 hg set last night, but I wouldn't have found it without help. Thanks guys!
  3. Thank you! and thanks for the tips too. I have plenty of time over the summer, and I can also afford to put my car out of commission. The site doesn't make any mention of prices though..
  4. Hi guys, I just bought my 92 subaru loyale, and the shop says they found gas in the radiator, and it either means a cracked head or bhg. I want to save some money and do it myself, the engine, trans and diff fsm should come in next week, and I have read that the felpro permatorque hgs are the way to go to avoid retorquing. Where do I find these? I am thinking about settling on the oem ishino gaskets, but I thought I'd come here to see if anyone could help me find the permatorque ones. Thanks!
