  1. yes the 2wd trans will just bolt in. You leave off the driveline and can leave everything else hooked up.
  2. It runs fine the way it is but some of the jets that are in it are for a b2200 mazda. It's actually getting to much fuel that's why i bought a fuel regulator and redline jet kit off ebay the day before i bought the legacy...That stuff wont go to waste though since i can use it on my 85 brat that's getting a carb'd ej22. I think the pump jet or something is way to big on it that's why it's been parked. It dumps to much gas in the cylinder and revs to 5 grand on it's own when you tap the gas peddle then slowly goes back to idle.
  3. I guess i'm just lucky . The guy i bought it from said i was the first to call on it, since it had just been posted. He told me he had to turn off his phone because he was getting so many calls and texts on it.
  4. Just picked up a 91 legacy sedan tonight for $175 with 151k on it. It's been hit in the passenger front fender area and the rear quarter panel. Runs really strong and drives fine. Looks like the hatch is getting ej swapped sometime . I also have a deal going to get a 6 inch lift for her too. Now i just need to get another 5 speed d/r.
  5. You can get them from rock auto really cheap too. The ea71 head gaskets from fel-pro are $8.70 each on close out and the fel-pro ea81 head gaskets are $12.45 on regular inventory.
  6. They are different. I have had the gaskets and heads next to each other to compare them before.
  7. monstaru is the proud new owner of this little beast.
  8. Finally got around to making a custom clutch pilot tool for the 5 speed d/r and push button 4wd transmissions
  9. No subaru didn't carpet the side covers it's a custom job.
  10. Looks like it has the rare custom food cart bed that was made for them.
  11. PM sent about parts for your wagon and coupe.
  12. A brat i bought was ran in to a tree i ended up taking the hinges off since they were bent. Since i couldn't find my spare hinges i heated up the bent ones with a torch until the curved bends were red hot in the vice and hit them with a small sledge hammer a couple times.
  13. It's not mine just found them on google images, but i probably will eventually make a hatch brat out of my hatch. The first pic is one of Bills rigs he had and the other i don't know.
  14. If it's lifted first and the whole lift is tied together to make a frame it should be fine. A good idea would be to have a roll cage in the cab just in case of a roll over crash.
  15. Do you know if the connection is on all ea81 harnesses? I have a couple of those but never have found the plug.
  16. I usually buy used off craigslist. The cheapest yakima roof basket with rails i have seen is around $200.
  17. I have 2 82's, 84, and a 87. I could of gotten all of the years by now out of junkyards but most of the ones in the cars are in terrible condition.
  18. This if you want it to look factory. If it's to long cut it down a few inches. If you don't care if it does't just go with a set of rails and a roof basket

  20. Pick n pull has everything you need for the alternator swap for about $35.
  21. It's worse than that its about $30 now to dismount the tire, mount the tire, and balance it. So it's about $120 without buying any tires. That's why my dad bought a coats 20/20 tire changer and a balancer. They paid for them selves in the first 4 sets we did.
  22. Put it in a oven or over a forge to bake the paint on(after the paint has dried). According to the engine/exhaust paint cans your also supposed to wait 7 days for the paint to fully cure before using whats painted. You can get around the whole week if you paint it, let it dry for a day or at least wait until it doesn't smell like it would light on fire, then bake it.
