  1. You get a 5 speed swapped in? Hopefully not a 4 speed since 3rd always goes out in them. If you have any more problems with it bring to superior soobie and import.
  2. Only thing you really needed was the rear hubs. Everything else you need can be gotten off legacy or impreza for the front. Depending on what transmission you have would depend on what axles you need.
  3. There's literally over a thousand results for ea81 5 speed swap just for usmb on google. Every one who actually drives their ea81 eventually swaps it over to a 5 speed when the 4 speed inevitably dies.
  4. Use the ea82 pressure plate with the 4wd 225mm ea81 clutch disk. The ea81 bolts work just fine with the ea82 flywheel. Thousands of people have done 5 speeds swaps using them and have never had a problem. Just put some loctite on the bolts and torque them to spec.
  5. The machine shop will know what your talking about. Just bring it in and tell them you need a .815" step. They charge less if you pull the dowel pins yourself.
  6. You can use the ea81 flywheel as long its a 225mm and not the smaller 200mm.
  7. The one adf sells is water jet cut and fits like a glove.

  9. You need a parts car for the harness(engine and dash), ecm, fuel pump, distributor, intake manifold, maf with air box, exhaust with o2 sensor if yours doesn't. The effort would be better spent in a ej22 swap considering you can't even buy a new ea82 oil pump anymore and a ej22 has tons more power.
  10. Only thing that makes sense to me is that it's from a broken clutch cable assuming it has a hole all the way through it.
  11. You also need to at least unbolt the stabilizer bracket for the engine so you don't break it. You should have enough room to not need to undo the exhaust. Don't use a cork gasket just use a sensible amount of rtv.
  12. Yep has a 2.2 for now. That's the air cleaner housing I made for a cone filter which is fed by the snorkel. Snorkel is for 80 series land cruiser or Mitsubishi pajero.
  13. You could just mod your stock air cleaner to accept a cone filter or go the snorkel route like i did. https://sc
  14. Your looking for a passenger side step side. The drivers side only came factory with a dummy cover but the steps work on both sides.
  15. The compression ratio is the same as a spfi ea82 which is something like 9.7 or 9.5 to 1.
  16. Here's one on ebay it has a small crack in it. I have 3 sets of them. 2 sets are like the one in the link and one set has the chrome bezels.
  17. You can take the odometer out of the cluster, pop off a clip, slid the numbers toward where the clip was, then spin the numbers over to where you want them to be. I did it on ea81t wagon because I wanted the mileage to be what it actually had on it since the digi cluster lit on fire.
  18. Western Washington University highly modified some ea81's to run on diesel but never went into production.
  19. Not nos but one of my budy's built one. Started out with a 32/36 then went to spfi with a extra injector for when boost hit.
  20. You use a tester that replaces your radiator cap and you pressurize the system by pumping in air. The tester has a gauge on it so you can tell whether your loosing coolant or not.
  21. Get a big pry bar on it and work it off. If needed hit the axle cup with a hammer to strike it off while rotating as needed. You won't break the bolt trust me. If needed you could pop the cap out of the back of the axle cup and attempt to break loose the e10 torx for the axle stub.
  22. I don't know how they operate but if its like the ones from the 80's and 90's that use a cable you can just disconnect the cable at the clutch fork.
  23. Yes but you will also need the transmission out of that brat or you need to find a 5 speed d/r
  24. Don't use a 96 2.5 block or you will have to swap out the flat top pistons. They cause to high of compression and will melt pistons.
