if i knew how to drive ,and had a snorkel.......i would wheel my dodge more. but until then, make sure you know where your air intake is. (it's low)(and likes to drink water) -
ok, r200's.....not r180s as stated originally. we knew that.
-
and the local dealer says no as well....... supposedly is just that, supposedly.and that doesn't get you anywhere. i looked into this a while back.when ken got his locker on his brat...cause i was pissed he had one.cheers, brian
-
are you thinking that the kit for the r200 will crossover to the r180?because they do not make one for the r180 from what i could tell. have you seen one?

it is way easier to pull it whole.all i do is undo the hoses and electrical connections, then start on the tranny bolts and crossmember bolts, lift and viole. -
1982 GL - Bad gas? Clean carb?
monstaru replied to Gyoas759's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
so, there is a "thingie" inside your carb called a float.that float has a window on the side of some of our carbs.check and see if you can find it.is there fuel behind the window?no?then your float is most likely stuck from the varnish and tarnish of the old fuel.or one of the 20 some odd ins and outs of that damn carb is plugged.you usually do not get a plug in the line.holes yes, plug no. seafoam is the chemical that you should be using to poke and prod around on your carb, and in your tank.its about 6 bucks a can.and it works.seafoam also has a spray can of "deep creep" which would be beneficial to your situation. my suggestion is to throw some dough down on a rebuild kit for it.go to napa.they have them.make sure that you find the numbers on your carb,or take it with you.cost ya about 40 bucks depending on which carb you have.sometimes cheaper.cheers, brian -
well said........

i can help if you need it.i will have a bit of time this winter it seems.cheers, brian -
your poor choices should not reflect on the cars themselves.ie:tearing into a perfectly good motor cause you think it needs it.getting a ************ty running car in the first place,or not properly rebuilding.get a roo.learn it from the ground up.then start messing with it.
