sounds like we would have to get a group price on them:rolleyes: would this be on an individual basis?if so then there is no rush and us el cheapo's can be assureed that we also will have the option of nice 4 lug rims ,besides pugs.would they come in 15"? -

aaahhheeeeemmmmmm.......i believe that is what i said....wrong vacuum line. -
i have a '79 245 dl that is about 245000 right now(i would know exactly but the odmeter works when it wants to).the engine is strong but i almost had to pay 200 for an alternator a week ago, luckily i found one in the yard.things that go wrong with volvos may be few and far between but when they do go wrong it is way to expensive.i was a subaru owner before i got her and am replacing her with one as we speak.subarus are diehard cars.the headgasket issue is the only thing you will probably have to deal with at all.i say ,as has been said before, get a roo........

monstaru replied to monstaru's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
yeah , i may have to talk to jerry in the spring.i did a thorough search on the car after that and that is the only major spot .i just like to run hard and do not need a shock going through my bed if ya know what i mean. -
hey patrick.....i say that if you really like it ,then do it.the mechanical aspects can be worked out through time.look at my brat....lol.what does your heart tell you.is this car yours and you just don't know that yet.or do you want one so bad that you are willing to settle.hopkins has a good rep for mechanics.brian over there is an excellent one.he would not steer you wrong i believe.the actual salesman is kinda sherky, but the mechanics are cool cats .

monstaru replied to monstaru's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
the cancer has been very bad so far.......i am aware of por15.but in this case i am sure ther will need to be welding involved.i just do not know if others have had to weld there shock tower mounts again.it is only really bad in a couple of spots.needless to say she is not coming out of the garage until spring.....even with canopy..... -

T-Rex's A Arm Mods!!!
monstaru replied to subusolo2nut's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
i see,so in relation to a street/rally racer it is a better idea to leave the control in the hands of the driver as opposed to the natural characteristics of the mechanics, hence the change you are doing.now,in relation to a baja type suspension ,how would it want to work?(to many questions?i hope not) -
i have done a disc coversion with baccaruda before ,we used good "used parts with rotors turned and such.however i was searching for an alternative to that.i would like to find an oem setup from someplace other than the dealer.has anyone found this and if so,will you share ?i realize it could be pretty spendy.thanks

a soob is a soob is a soob......fast or slow.as usual, all the yota guys laugh at me when i talk about the mods i am doing to the brat...poor them .they will never know the joy of a 'ru.(and most of all i cannot wait to out 4x'em) -
drove the brat ,tranny works fine with 1/2 and 1/2 .third gear is smooth as butter.what more could i ask for in a 20 tranny!she is still not officially on the road ,but all the gears are good and 4wd works well.can we say stoked!!!!!
