  6. Not lookin to be THE first Subaru anything anymore..... But I will be looking to be first in every race I enter. .... It may Not even happen . But I am poised to give it a try. Cheers Best in the West 2012........ Next week is fab week to strengthen some things up.....

  8. I am defenitely not a perfectionist knowing that it will just get Beat up anyway......but it will turn out pretty cool.thrres a cat in Parkland that has some as well.plus Tex is pretty heavily into this as well.. ************in love you guys for being behind my vision;)$
  9. So, thanks for the non topic crap crap... Actuary got something started. Got some other stuff in the worksis to... STICKS!!started at least I am a bad sticker putter onner...but we will see how she finishes out cheers
  10. Not my car... Oh how I just love keyboard builders.People that take on projects like this are from two schools. Those that are pretty sure it will work. And folks that think it needs to be engineered like a spacecraft.(and never finish) Woodswagon: I have also seen heim joints layed down like that when utilized in 4 link setups.Defenitely weight bearing. As a matter of fact bouncing and jumping , and, and, and.... cheers still looks good, cheers
  11. yay, a bunch of math jargon that is different from every manufacture. Plain and simple. It's gonna work. And they are replaceable parts. You are splitting hairs. It is not a race car. I posted the link to rescind MY statement earlier in the thread. And spread more chaos evidently. I think it looks cool.Curious to see how it works. CHEERS Ioku!
  12. I think Jeff misunderstood me.4 inches ish with the strut tops I built(in conjunction with strut tops ,which are not the listed Extended lengths).then the tires which gave me about 6.5ish-7.5ish total.
  13. 2" is more than enough for the exhaust At least that's what my exhaust guys tell me. Cheers
  14. Evidently you shouldna have anything to worry about if your Heims are quality. http://www.ruffstuffspecialties.com/catalog/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=ruffstuff&Product_Code=HORIZ4LK&Category_Code=LNKBrackets Cheers
  15. It'll never work.your dumb you ************in hillbilly....
  16. If you genuinely needed to hear everything Josh said then you probably have no business Tackling this job. Get a pro ,or at least a hardcore hobbiest to help out......
  17. Micks brat has some cut and reweld pics. I have cut several Bodies apart and think that patching in about 12guage is possible Without using flux core. If you find yourself having to use a flux Core only then make sure you pay attention to your heat settings....
  18. I have made a few pieces. Some live on, some don't. There are pics floating around all over this board.Especiall in the bumper thread.I think there might even be a rollbar thread. cheers:drunk:
  19. The only way to make one of those options work is to make a bumper mount swing out.Baccaruda wanted one.We got mounts from a Pathfinder I believe. In the end the easiest way to do it is to fabricate it with a swing mount kit. He and I could not agree on design.seeing as how he saw it one way in his head with an engineers lookout, and I saw it from a bare bones fabrication workability point of view.It is not a good idea to try and mount that setup to your body.Even if you add sheetmetal to the inside as a backing plate it will add stresses at the edges of the backing plate. In turn ripping the existing sheet metal . Make a simple flat bumper, and buy the kit.Or do your homework and make a kit from everday items. It is possible to use SOME of the mounts from either the Rodeo,Pathfinder , or even Blazers.************, almost every 80's van had a mount too......those were hard mount i guess though....but whatever, parts is parts..... cheers
  20. I grabbed a couple of Cadillac air ride compressors a while back. They seem to put out alot of air.For all I know I may have already posted that LOL:horse:
  21. Drop the front crossmember itself with a jack below it.Then install blocks. After that drop one strut at at time to install those spacers.Utilizing small subaru jacks at multiple pick points is a must when installing a lift ..... rear , same thing. Some bolts will need to be looser than others. It all really depends on how much you losen some to others.Every single one of these cars I have come across is different(especially true to same models ) some are tweaked one way, some others, you just have to make ************ fit some times. If that means squezzing a bolt into a tight spot then tap it with a hammerr.Just be catious of thread damage. If that means, lift something higher than somehting else, just make surre you watch your rump roast, or have someone that can:cars can fall.It sucks.BAD..... But most of all, cross threading fine thread metric bolts is easy, if not idiot proof.Don't be an idiot.Use your fingers for sure purchase.Otherwise ************ gets serious. LOL Just pay attention....
  22. Just a suggestion, but you should e able to get about 30*ish out of those heims with misalignment spacers.I would think tire scrub would be the enemy at that point. cheers
  23. I get your point wood,,,,,, The way to take care of the load is to mount them verticaly .That way the cups are being loaded properly...........Those heims are more than capable of getting the job done Otherwise....it WILL work as long as no jumping gets done:drunk:.But I don't think thats possible Wouldna be to hard to just adda couple of tabs/w gusset to mount it vertically now.I mean you are still building......Just sayin cheers
