  1. DAylight pics: Well, I recieved payment for a debt yesterday. An 81000mile(thats what was on the Odometer) Limited Slip Differential. Took the lid off, and checked for any wear. There doesna seem to be any....it turns tighter than all of the previous ones I have had or seen.Seems like the bearings are still good, factory lash and all, so the Diff was treated well. I am debating selling it instead of using it.However it would be cool to have in this car.I have never had an auto with an LSD before.I am curious to see how it would act. cheers
  2. Load range C is 6 ply. cheers
  3. You would be better off getting an LT rated A/T tire. The Grabber is pretty kick rump roast all around I hear. http://www.tiresdirect.net/GENERAL_Grabber_AT2_27X8_50R14_P2554C193.cfm?gclid=CLjOqa7e2KwCFQZbhwodg0uJqQ Or, Toyo a/t's, or Kenda kevlars, Uniroyal Liberators(Wal-Terrain),or several other choices that don't really matter.....I really just wanted to comment on the two spares And for the record.I have been on two trips now that have netted utilizing two spares. With my brother in his truck once.(Not at all on anything hard, just bad luck). And in Lilly , I was hunting up in Colville, busted the first, put on the spare.I then preceded a couple of hours later to burst another.Good thing I had two spare tires.:drunk:And I or we were not "wheeling" on either of those occasions. Sha-it you not..... Cheers.
  4. Even more aweesome is finished.?To bad I still need to paint it proper......:banghead:and learn how to take pics evidently...I'll take some more pics in the light tomorrow. You may be able to see it in this one There are light tabs, and the tabs on the bottom tube are to mount some old school revamped turn signals. cheers:drunk:
  5. Got a bit done today. Will continue to plug away on this over the weekend. I may take a break to work on the bumper at some point......
  6. If you are at all going to take your rig off the pavement into something other than your basic gravel road, the consensus is to utilize steelies. This is because you are more likely to damage the alloys. The steel will dent, the alloys will most likely break before bending. cheers
  7. Almost all of the Aussies drive in nothing but sand.
  8. cat person?WTF does that have to do with anything?...... These lift pieces will be 2"ers. Specs are easy to come by with a tape measure , and some time.Maybe a set of calipers if you are anal. But other than that pretty simple. Measure the ************ you got to fit! This isna rocket surgery! Started cleaning those pieces up today.Gonna take me a bit, I cut the circles to small. Die grinder it is...... Will be workin on more fun stuff all weekend. cheers
  9. That sir is a bucket full of stock birfs, and chromo birfs, as well as a full recipe for a pretty good front axle .That is for Monstaru 13.Not this for sure. cheers:-p
  10. Been puttin SOME time in. That should turn out pretty cool... These however are basically a necessity now.No matter how much damn trimmin I did, I still rubbed with worn 235's in the rear passenger side, and definitely had pertty good scrub on the front rear. so, 2 inches it is.?Bought some 2" flat bar on the way home today.Cut these out yesterday and today .at school.Old school Oxy/Acety.************in love it . Should have some time this 5 day holiday to do some fun stuff... cheers
  11. It's about to get alittle more badass.....:-p:popcorn:, cheers
  12. It is not open, and won't be for a while. And there is no way that we could do any of the regular trails anyway.like seriously...... I just had a chat with a guy that is highly involved in the restructuring and trail building going on there, and he is confident iit will open again in the near future.(like a year or so , maybe.but it IS Gov we are talkin about)) cheers, me
  13. All soobs more or less get the same type of lift. You could read the FAQ to get a better idea on how it is done.
  14. Does it work? does it work?:-pHe has not been on the board for months but maybe we can make his ears burn. cheers
  15. I am looking at the AW4 Jeep tranny.TheTH400 as well. Some of that stuff is beyond my scope of tools. So far anyway.... but I will continue to look at options in automatic trans configurations until I find one that I like. The Nissan auto would be an easier option as it is basically the same body as out 4EAT.However there is no aftermarket for it anymore. At one point Advance adapters had a plate to offer for an Atlas t-case behind that setup. It doesna seem like they do anymore, or abandoned the project....They do however have one that will fit the little bit later Titan line. Not the same setup as far as I can find. I did forget about that thread.thanks Chux! cheers
  16. As usual, things change with my builds.I decided to put more effort into the 13 buggy.I will keep an auto in this car, but am looking for a 4.44.I need this car as a DD for a while. She is not a trail beast, but I am sure will hold her own. I am currently waiting for someone to pay me back a bit, which will hopefully net me a rear LSD, instead of welding it.But that seems like a long shot....so. I do more onroad activity now adays.I still get out and romp on her., But until my truck is cheaper to drive , I will only romp so hard. I def. notice the gas mileage diff..And would like better, but I just love how she looks with bigger tires. That is more important to me than MPG. cheers
  17. second time I looked at this thread, It said 44......Just sayin.:-pcheers, B
  18. There is always , Me ,Myself, and I as OffRoo'd......I need a photographer.........
  19. I thought that it would be notable to say that I just looked at this thread and it had been checked out by 13 people:-p;) And I forgot to mention that 4.88's are the gear choice. And messed up the shock photos... cheers
  20. I have started a new thread, that relegates what is REally happening with this build. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?p=1058458#post1058458
  21. That is what I am calling the buggy now.It may not be attempt number 13, but it is that creepy.:-p Lets recap , as the last thread grew out of a billion things to this. What we have so far: chassis, .120 wall 1.5 " DOM tubing..... The 37" meats the steering The suspension!2" and 14" Fox air shox The original layout,Ej22,5spd D/R,with 6.5 to 1 Zooki t-case. I wanted an auto, and more power.SoI just acqiured a Twin Turbo Ej engine, Am looking into Auto options like the AW4 Jeep trans, as well as others. This opens up the options for different T-cases. The H1 wheels with centers cut out , next to the new 6 lug centers. And a mock up. I went through so many transitions with the last thread , that I thought it would be good to regulate, and get to the basics of what is REALLY happening... WEll, this is it...LOL I keep gathering parts and waiting for a place to build this damn thing.Changing small things on the way as usual. I am up to Toyota axles with lockers, chromos, and my own fab for trussing and gussets... Much more to come.I will be moving soon, and one of the major concerns is getting shop space/garage to work on this thing!!! cheers
  22. So I was able sandblast my H1 rims, get the centers cut out, and order some new centers to get better offset and the Toyota bolt pattern. All I need now is some rock rings.. I had to mock one up:clap: I should be able to get these mounted by the time I leave, hopefully. cheers
  23. Dig it.Thats cool man.Way to go.Now get to shortenin that exhaust! :-p cheers
  24. I finished trimming the rear up.Gotta add some moulding.then pics. Yeah Superu, A good mate (Mugs)helped me out buy resealing and gasketing the motor. He has had it for like a week or so.Maybe two, ************ I can't remember.:-p It runs without codes now.We had to mongaloid some exhaust gaskets to mate the header.I will take care of that this week too.New gaskets Should take care of it. Then since I am in there I should actually put in the STI exhaust. I think I need to make a couple of hangers and such. But whatever. The secret squirrel is turning out pretty awesome, if I do say so myself.I am really excited about it. cheers
