  2. you guys can "if" all you want.not a one has the ************in experience.........:lol:kills me...cheers, brian
  3. thats unfortunate...... anyway, so, i helped my brother move today, and was gone all day.so when i got home i figured out what i was going to do to mount the upper ball joint... then started thinkin about food shortly after...and that is where i am at... i am hoping to be throwing the front together by this weekend.....i am excited to see what comes of it.. cheers, brian
  4. i knew YOU would like it...you gotta do about the same thing...... and i wish that was shine.shine is my favorite.can't find any here:mad:well, anymore:lol:.... cheers, brian
  5. it all started with this...i have been gathering brackets and tabs and such for a while to be able to just fabricate wheneer i have time to do so.... then it grew.... and some more... until it all of sudden was a mount for a balljoint on the topside! cheers, brain:grin:
  6. its not that it can't be done, its just spendy to do properly.cheers, brian
  7. ZZZZZZZZIIIIINNNGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!thats eggzachary right !it does depend on offset.i wasna tryin to be a wongleflute before, just to let you know.i was just joshin.....there are solutions around, that have been accomplished for yrs now......but suggest you post your findings from your particular offset and tires and then PM me with it and i will get it put in the outback FAQ that i will be writing.....cheers, brian
  8. you can use a wrx clutch disc........with an xt6 pressure plate.cheers, brian
  9. 1/4"!!!thats alot!you know, you would not have been able to fit the 75 series anyway without spacers. oh yeah, spacers.and if you worry about the strength of spacers, i know toyota trucks that are running 36" tires with 1" aluminum spacers beatin the livin hell out of them....... i also know a couple of soobs doin it.. i personally would not worry about it to much.it is one of those things we have to deal with.cheers, brian
  10. your a stout guy, they are small cars.i do not see any probs. buildin another strip runner huh?:grin:nice . did you see the last one i did?it lives next door now.cheers, brian
  11. kennys car is well done....nice score....cheers, brian
  12. yeah its ballistic.....i love there stuff.i'll post a pic of size comparison later..... anyways, the list is modified from the front page again,,,,,so.... 87 hatch custom suspension zookie t-case some other stuff........ cheers, brian
  13. i have run with both.on the same car,a couple of different times. i used a transfer punch the same size as the rim hole, while it was partially bolted to the hub with the two studs...... that was good enough for 85 down the backside of snoqaulmie several times fully loaded.....and everywhere else that i went. i also redrilled a couple of rims to use on the front.those were less than exact, and i still never had any issues. as far as safety is concerned.i have seen some hack jobs on this mod.and noone has ever wrecked from it.i know folks that have ran 33" tires on cast drilled hubs and beat the piss out of it.they are plenty strong enough.it has been proven. 35/64ths is the proper size drill bit, use a ton of lubrication when doing this, and go slow on the rpm's if your press is adjustable...... i had my setup on 2 different rigs and never had any issues....... ima try to find one of the brat as well....
  14. your late......cheers, brian
  15. THIS IS NOT A DISCUSSION THREAD> THIS IS FOR ADDITIONS TO THE FAQ!!!!!!! go start another thread if you wish.or search, that always helps......
  16. sick..........some time in the garage does a daddy good.:grin:can't wait to see how fast THIS one is......cheers,brian
  17. just bob the back......all you have to do is deal with sparre tire well, big deal... whats the wheelbase?i never measured any of my legacies....cheers, brian
  18. moving the trans and engine back is a good idear....i will also be cutting the front off of that car....kinda...actually, i should be starting tomorrow..:grin:but if you find that moving the trans tunnel is to much fo ryou , you can always move the wheels a tad bit forward and get a great approach angle... cheer, brian
  19. just think of it as following the existing frame rails.this will give you something to mount shocks off of, and your engine, in stock height.like this , if you will.... cheers, rbain
  20. ************ you Will,i mean jeff................cheers, brain
  21. it'll never work:)stoked to see double a-arms....i have thought about it before ...i mean, its just a bunch of rectangles and triangles right?zzz rock on........:)cheers, brian oh yeah, nice Vans, i have set on right now.but i bet mine are way cooler....
  22. buy the lights, put them in different spots on your car, then go to the hardwre store to find whatever it is that you need to mount them where you like them........its pretty simple.cheers, brian
  23. its more a matter of i have tried doing a lot with nothing.....and although my ************ didna really break ....it was probably not wise to ride some of it:lol:...... i have good stores in town that give me good prices.and i guarantee you it never is as simple as the prices you CAn get parts for....that is under optimal condition it is what you have to end up ordereing, where it is coming from, etcc..... then the time, and knowledge..i am just sayin.he doe snot have the knowledge to carry this out.and shouldn't because of his ignorance.it will be a waste of time, and most importantly ....money. i am not saying i know anything, but the people that know me and have seen what i do around my place know that i have tried doing alot of different setups for things.have built alot of thinga that just won't work, etc....and i have rednecked the ************ out of some things too.things that did not break, and worked fine....but it's not just about the math.it is about the total engineering package.i believe this is completely possible.i have been thinking about it for years, and i might even get around to it....but , by then , i will have even more of a killer tool cache....and more duckets to fund it.....to DO IT RIGHT...... cheers, brian
  24. When you guys are here for a bunch of years and get tired of the same wasted space , by the same person, that by HIS description cannot even carry out due to lack of funds, tools, and the ideas in his head.............you would get tired of it too..... defend what you know.and you don't know this sitch..... Uberoo, since you don't have the money to do it properly.don't . it will be unsafe and stupid to try to accomplish without a roll of cash in your pocket.great idea, like none of us have had it!we have, and we weighed the cost, time and such.and still have not gotten around to it.this is not your original idea. you are and have been in over your head for quite some time .....ideas are great, but wasted space and annoyance of other members is getting old.just my .02 cents. you wanna know why we do not leave you alone uberoo.because we like action, and you have none.it gets annoying!
