  3. i have been thinking about rat rodding my next subie.cut the front off and make a subframe for it.then do a hood/cowl.was thinkin about it with the hatch, then it became the monster it is........... it would not take much to turn a subie into a rod........cool model.cheers, brian
  4. hey man, just seein how ya are.been really busy.you get your lift parts yet?cheers, brian

  5. the ea81 stuff will work with a strut top adjustment.but i believe you lose a bit of travel...........don't have anything to measure, but have interchanged the struts several times.i think the only difference is the brake line bracket as far as looks are concerned.cheers, brian
  6. i am a fan of th epump ,as i have several things to lube usually and by gear oil by the gallon.always have it around that way too....cheers, brian
  7. i hate you........:eek:cheers, brian
  8. do you have the car off of the ground when you are trying to adjust it?because you need to have the rear in the air to properly adjust the bolt.otherwise it will not workm and yes you could break it.and when you break it, you will need to retieve the bolt from the hole and replace it,if you can...which will not be easy.
  9. lmFAO..................ahh thats good ************ right there.....
  10. please tell me you are making an "ultimate turbo coupe"

  15. you and me both.i been getting the tow rig(dodge diesel) up and rollin the last few days.got some work to do on a friends car here pretty quick, and then back at it.mainly i am just waiting to buy some things.so the fund reservoir is slowly being filled up right now.but there is plenty to do between now and then anyway.......cheers,brian
  16. what have you built? good to see you back one shot wonder.............:grin:cheers, brian
  17. i have 163.1 right now. 4.44 diffs,6.5 zookie t-case,3.545 ea82 d/r,1.59low soobie. when i grow up i want to buy an atlas t-case for the buggie i WILL build.i will get a 3 or 4:1......cheers, brian
  18. know which way you are headed yet?you comin up to the 90 or.............let me know.could work some meat on the grill, a beer or so,soda whatever.....cheers, brian
  19. drop cams in a 2.2,port and polish the intake .build or have built a custom exhaust header. aside from building a custom engine ,this is pretty much where you are headed with your build.cams are like a couple hundred, exhaust is like 3 or 400,port and polish is spendy but you could defenitely do it yourself. i would go with the 2.2.cheers, brian
  20. easier to just get the rear diff. i do not know if there is difference in the auto to manual ring and pinion. might search on that one. try looking for the front diff LSD thread.should be good info in there.cheers, brian
  21. we knew you were a dirty girl.and still are.tis a b-e-a-you-tiful thing....:)i am glad for you.......awesome.i'm jealous. but i truly want to see some video.cheers, brian
  22. there really is a bit of info on here if searched..........just the word LIFT is enough to muster up quite a bit of vindication...... http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=24980 cheers, brian
  23. jeff, i only know where my hankooks are! anyways,i recieved some killer news today.i held , in my hands, the "turned down{lathed} splined section from an ea series axle cup.it was the splined section thatr happen to be turned down to the circumference of a certain u-joint yoke that i had purchased.seems that the hardness is not an issue and can be welded to the yoke!!!!!AWESOME news.i had to leave it there,as the machinist has a million things to deal with is not likely to remember the circumference to turn down the other 3 cups i brought my friend today.... so no pics.......but,within a couple of weeks we shall continue the R&D of the rear axles.i do not know if it will work, but am going to find out soon. the rest has been to a slow down.weather, work (thank the gods), and extra family visiting has slowed me down. i currently need to mount the radius rods, and then i am on to the shocks....cheers, brian
  24. technically the "crawl ratio " is the first gear number, diff numbers, and t-case numbers all done up. the only tranny you will find in 4.44 is an auto.which, built properly would be pretty sweet.the 4.44 diffs came out of forresters and some outbacks in the 2000 and above sector. the key inlooking is knowing that it only came in automatics.i can get 4.44 diffs and trannies.cheers, brian
