  1. thnaks mate...i don't see why we would not go,we both want to.we just don't have alol day.and we are gonna need to ride along with someone due to his wagon being pristine, and not wanting to wreck it.(which i understand but flip him ************ about continuosly).....i got your pm and have it noted.cheers, brain
  2. its funny, because i was just about to ask how the performance of those blocks was.........guess i know now:lol:....cheers, brian
  3. hey, is this an all day event type thing?or a few hours and such?or is it like a take a take a trail to the end type deal?sorry to sound dumb , but i have never been to reiters......the whole "east sider" go play in the woods thing is new to me:lol:.... andy and i will be over that weekend and probably staying with a participant, but have other things to accomplish for sure .so i am try8ing to figure out how we can still accomplish this too. because truth be told, this is the only thing i want to do,and see other folks that won't be there.:grin:but biznass is biznass.cheers, brian
  4. well, my 93 dodge 3/4 ton W250 with a cummins diesel is not a throw away.........barely has 160000 miles........
  5. that is SOOOOOOo what i am talking about!nice work,i need a damn tubing bender..........kinda weird to me that you have long track bars like that though.i am not bashing, just trying to understand.i have been wanting to build a buggy like that for al ong time and i am just now learning more fab skills and am getting closer for sure.awesome.cheers, brian
  6. as much as i would love to put an automatic in front of my zookie case, umm not that one.the 5 spd dual range is the usual suspect.sos you can have dual cases........and seeing as how it is a divorced case, with enough fabrication , you could add it to anything......cheers, brian

    Buggy build

what tubing bender and notcher have you used on this?cheers, brian
  8. i would love to go to reiters with you guys !!!!!but i will not be driving......so we will see.cheers, brian
  9. if it has been sitting on the shelf for years, i would say that you just need to convince him that if he does not get rid of it now,he never will.:)i would offer him $150 and go no more than $200.we commonly pass around trannies over on this side of the world for 50 bucks apiece. i have seen people pay $250 for one before, but that just seems outrageous to me.maybe i am spoiled.......... cash talks, bull************ walks. he can say all day long that he wants $350 for it,but if he has a had a bad day or week retail wise,he could change his tune with the show of green.use it in your favor........don't let your pride get in your way. i can bet you he did not pay that much for it,it probably came with an engine he ordered for someone and they did not need the tranny....just my opinion.....cheers, brian
  10. what he said^.cheers, brian
  11. i never really realized how many times i used that page until it was gone.......thanks so much for getting it back.......cheers, brian

  15. thats funny,i took an 82 brat cable and put it into my 86......weird..and i just bought one for an 84 brat that i put into my 83 wagon......about 3 weeks ago.but who am i to argue with an rump roast.:grin:so, what you state may be the case, but there are always exceptions to the rule.i was not being maliscious in my statement that they are all the same, and did not intend to give misinformation....sorry daveap if i did,but i do not know so... cheers, brian
  16. you have to remember that personal preference is what you are asking about basically.....of course most of the folks on here do there own work.and with that in mind you will get a plethera of "hell ya's"...........but look at your own situation.what are you willing to fix to have a good car, that is 4wd or awd,and can get you anywhere normal folks go?you have to be honest with yourself, are you going to turn into a doityourselfer?that is what everyone is saying.....it can be easier if you allow yourself to be open to learning......cheers, brian
  17. i say that they are crap for offroad.....people have been known to peel the bead back.i would stick with steelies if that is what you have.trade those out for some 15 inch steels. cheers, brian

  21. accusations without knowing everything is even worse biz!judge not lest you know the whole ************in situation......... i do not believe for one second that he would have bought them if he thought that they were"hot"........."paranoia will destroya" rooster........cheers, brian
