my box i used a old engine stand piece and bolted it to the bottom of my box it was very easy to do -
a freind of mine was at the shop yesterday morning with his ez go holf cart he wanted to lift he started tearing it down and i noticed this its a 250 2stroke subaru robin by fuji heavy industries i got thinking i bet my old coil overs off my loyale would fit nicely the rear springs on the golf cart are the same phisical size as the subi springs so we installed the galf cart springs on to the subi rear strut over all lift of 8" rides great the front we dident have any springs so since he is planing a full long traval front end he just spaced the stock half leaf spings down for now we did use a couple more rear struts as shocks till he builds the new front end and picks up a set of softer springs

i have a set up kinda like that its a metal box though it mounts on a 2" reciver i used it for my tools on my scout when i was working it fits the subi too now it just sits in storage with my tools in it wroting away but any way it just slides in any 2" reciver ive loaded around #1000 in it and holds up fine you could wire in some trailer lights that use a standered trailer light plug i also use a harbor freight basket works the same way i use it for hauling motors trans and other large dirty items it was only $40 and works great the wait limit on the basket is #300 if i remeber right my scout uses a clas 4 hitch our subis are at best a class 1 hitch i wouldent trust the factory bumper mounting points by them selfs to hold any kind of wait they just go in to sheet metal in my opinion building a new bumper with lots of extra bracing and a reciver mount in it is the way to go and get a cheep basket set your box in the basket and be done with it its way more usefull than just a box i also have a dirt bike carrier and a good hitch for towing stuff and a few winches that mount in there aswell just dont over load the hitch you dont want to rip the sheet metal -

a freind of mine has a 05 outback xt turdbo there is a catalitic converter befor the turbo well his turbo ate the cat when the cat failed and then of coarse the motor ate the turbo blowing out the #4 cyclinder the dealer charged him almost 7k just to clean the metal out and put a new turbo cartridge and new head gaskets in now 10k miles later its getting a brand new motor it was 4k just for the short block the motor still has to be built and swaped turbo are for thoses with big $$ or mad skills not the every day average joe but if its at a dealer and they give a killer warrenty and you dont mind working on it or spending $$$ on it go for it other wise wait

i could be wrong but im pritty shure the brzs are rwd only basicly a toyota trans that mates to the subaru motor im just woundering if it wil bolt up to a ej 2.5d thats already in the car
-
so i saw this on craigslist 2013 Subaru brz 6 spd transmission - $300 http://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/pts/4885204634.html so im woundering if these trans fit the ej motors it would be perfict to run a transfer case and would work great in this project and i might beable to swing it

so gasket is on engine is in its running i took it for a short drive and no more valcano out the radiator in fact theres almost no air bubbles i know theres still some air in the system so im expecting some bubbles but i popped the cap the water was right at the top of the radiator and only very small random bubbles i still havent installed the thermostate so i know theres no air traped there so so far so good we will see if it holds up

i do plan on coating it with copper gasket spray stuff and if it works ill have to pull the motor back out and do the other side but i want to make sure it works before i go to all the trouble of making another one

try a hair dryer it should peal off with a little heat the pressure washer might remove or chip the factory paint around the edges but would remove the laytex fast and if your gona paint it anyway you got nothing to loose
