  2. i love the desert fox decals do you have them for the ea82 and or how much for the front and rear decals only for the hatch and hood thanks
  3. back from the trip forester did great on the road it never get stuck in the sand but wasent happy about it at all it went through 2 tanks of gas on the sand must have been getting 2-3 miles per gallon and developed a tranny fluid leak im guessing from the front seal we couldent get it to climb any of the dunes or sand climbs my loyale dose so we mostly stuck to the sand roads and had to go up the back road to camp but was still a awsome trip
  4. little blue just isent ready im so bummed i ran a few test runs and its geting to hot im just gona ride down with my buddy in the forester my freinds are bringing a half a dosen bikes down so i guess ll have to make do
  5. well ive done all i can do the forester dident get modded any as its beeing sold as soon as we get back my loyale is up and running got the exhaust on the welded rear end in i dident get my new tires mounted ill have to do that after my trip i am still getting small bubbles in the radiator i dont think i got the block straight enuff or the head was cracked though but im gona run it anyway and hope for the best it seems to be pulling good and strong i might gave to stop a few times and top off the radiator i am bringing my tow bar just in case and im meeting a few people with heeps that could always drag me home
  6. so i installed my custom exhaust and it seems to be the missing link i can now do second gear take offs with out boggin out i think im gona have to play with my exhaust a bit if going a little bigger in the exhaust made that much differance then maybe going alot bigger will make a bigger differance i dident notice much with just the exhaust on the stock motor set up im also planing on playing with the trotle body spacer size and see if that has any affect on the over all pull
  7. i hope these you tube links are coming through for some reason i cant see you tube video in the forums on my phone
  8. heres a few 0-55 pulls before i tore in to it the speedo is about %25 off so im going faster than what its reading but will work for wwhat im doing
  9. i dident have time before i leave to test on the stock motor i went ahead and installed it with the ported heads and i only drove it to the gas station and back and honistly with every thing i did there is little if any gains but i advanced the timing some more which should give me a little more pull if nothing else its alot smoother ill know more after i drive it a bit
  10. i got it all in every thing seems to work i had to raise the throtle cable bracket add a few pieces of hose but its all in and running it is so much smoother the top on my snorlle for some reason rings like a bell at 6 k rpms but it now dose it at 5500 i dont know if that means any thing but im guessing thats the point of peak airflow
  11. ive been serching but i cant find where to tie in to the duty c solinoid for a lock up switch on the forester im about ready to install my other motor and exhaust and i just found out my wheel bearing ont the front psssenger side is wasted i thought it just needed greese but nope its shot so ine last junk yard trip and i should be ready to role
  12. i cut almost a 1/8" off of the valves and smothed out the ruff edges exhaust valve
  13. i got my block preped and my porting finnished ive been grinding and lappin the valves before grinding and cleaning the valves and after
  14. i figured that but the solinoids dident work maybe 1 out of 5 times it would kick to the low beem even when jumped at the solinoid itself it clicked but nothin would happen
  15. i agree the ports suck and the exhaust being so different in lenght dosent help any ether but if i can get just alittle bit better it will be worth it i just hope i dont make em worse i managed to get my new tempo springs in ive been running around with my winch on the front to help break them in i dont like how they look siting in there kinda funny but the ride is awsome and im not bottoming out on every little bump
  16. you need about a foot of 4" pipe cut the ends at between 17º and 18º then weld a plate top and bottom to bolt your struts to drop your engin crossmember down using 3" square tube and cut a few small pieces of square tube to drop the radias rod monts and trans crossmeber then theres the stering coupler that needs to be replaced or lengthend and um shifter linkages need to be adjusted thats for the front the rear i used some flat stock bent in a kinda z shape for the first 2" and then i installed aset of kybs for a 2wd modle wagon for about another 1.5" i dident drop the rear diff or k bar but it should be droped as well some squre blocks should work for that to thats basicly my set up i basicly looked at what everyone else has done and copyed it with basic mechanicle skills its all relitivly easy to do there is alot of little stuff your gona run in to but thats the fun part read search learn fab ask questions if need be install wheel enjoy
  17. i carry a spare when i go on a long distance wheelin trip but ive never needed it i usaly leave it at camp i found its usaly easyer to just fix the flat i carry a plug kit and a cheapie air compresor and a bfh even puting a rock though the side wall can be fixed with enuff plugs
  18. ill do the video on the speedo trick someone mentioned in another thread before and after and im hoping to tryit on the motor in my car stock and then on the resealed motor with ported heads and custom exhaust
  19. it should work the problem is how big should the spacers be if these dont do what i want ill try 1/2" and 1/4 spacers and maybe play with combos but realisticly im plobly just spinning ny wheels but how would i know if i dont atleast try
  20. ya we are camping we always camp at what we call cell phone hill because every one goes up there to make phone calls its off to the right off of boone rd right before the left turn to the lake bed one side is easy and the other side is steep i love watching the high dollor rigs get stuck on the hill and then blast right up past them are you gona run a subi out there
