  1. 87 GL-10. Turbo, Auto Wagon. OK so I did THe Head Gaskets on both sides. Got it to start yesterday, sounded shitty but nothing too bad, just letting it idle and work itself out. shut it off and then tried to start it again and the starter will turn but engine wont start. First thing i did is go for the trouble codes and its putting out 3 short flashes. I didnt know it even had single digit codes and i cannot find what it is. any ideas?
  2. Hey so my car is a 88 auto dl. Car will start(runn ************ty) and even after being warmed up will die as soon as it is put into gear.. I have no idea what would be causing this, something i have guessed from looking at other problems online is that a lose motor mount causes a short once it gets shifted into gear? idk how that would be i just came across someone with a similar situation and my engine does have quite a bit of rocking back and fourth while it idles. any ideas? im pretty noob i can swap parts all day but not so good at diagnosing problems. :banghead:
  3. screw is in there. can't spin without the teeth at the bottom spinning. it just isn't quite touching the teeth on the back of the cam.
  4. Ahhhhhh After more tinkering and attempting to time the CAMS and the distributor in one trip, i've came to a new dilemma. Dropped in my distributor all the way and my rotor can spin freely. Could there be an issue with the instillation of my CAM? The distributor teeth appear fine. Possibly the teeth on the end of the CAM or the distributor teeth? I don't know whats going on. My father in law is a mechanic and has been working on this with me. We're sure we're timing everything correctly and trying to figure out what is creating our problem. Anyone came across something similar to this or know what could be wrong with my CAM? (all drivers side btw.)
  5. Im struggling getting my timing correct and I noticed that I can rotate my rotor by hand about 45 degrees backwards. when i do this the sprocket on the other side of the left cam(connected to the disty) moves in and out(towards my bumper/towards my tailgate). My big questions Could my cam be messed up?? bent of otherwise? is it supposed to be able to move in and out? pulled Out the distributor and it seemed fine. Could it be broken inside?
