You know...Bucky does the same thing whenever his plugs go bad...Lucky for me plugs are cheap ( yes I use NGKs ...in my cars and in my dirtbike)cause I have to replace them at the very least...once a year sometimes twice...depending on how much he is being driven...He has one cylinder ( number 3) that likes to run a tad hotter then the rest...someday I should have a compression test done.. I know this cause 1,2,4 plugs will have normal wear but 3 will be white white and the electrode will have 3 times the wear of the other 3. do you have a drop in fuel mileage? can you smell raw gas out the exhaust ( not heavily) These are just all the symptoms Bucky gets when that plug starts to go. I never felt the urge to delve into the problem further cause it never bothered me to much and he has been doing it since I bought him...just part of what makes Bucky ..Bucky:grin:

And I told you about my meatloaf trick didnt I?? Are you coming to Carlisle Mary??

Just a question...is this one of those Blazers where you have to go in through the wheel well to get to the back plugs? I know it was some sort of stupid design with you had to do it that way or pull the motor just to change out the spark plugs?..I could be wrong. Also..think about this...the Blazers are nice..I know a few people with them...but if money is an object..and you have to do the maintenance yourself...the Subaru is a much easier vehicle to work on....Labor costs.lower..plus..most of the parts are cheaper too..down to little things like tires..If you go with an EA82 ..timing belts ..no big deal and who cares if you break one..its non-interference..no motor damage..and like others mentioned...gas mileage...big difference..A FWD EA82 with the 5spd can get into the mid to high 30s mpg and the 4WD ones are into the high 20s..heck my XT6s last tank was about 22 mpg...not too bad for a 6 cyl 5 spd full-time 4wd...and I did drive it like I stole it... Good Luck and keep looking...when the right thing comes up...you will know

LOL..yup..cut it out then treated it with 2 types of rust neutralizers and preventatives..then spray painted the inside of the rocker with rust neutralizer also...silicone sealed around the hole before putting the new metal on...then skim coated it with bondo and painted 4 coats of that Krylon Tough Enamal Rust Imhibitor paint...tomorrow ..once it warms up I will add some black sealer to the trim piece to keep any moisture from getting behind. And 86BRATMAN...My fiance is NOT the car savey person..I have always loved them ..but at many points in life I had no choice but to learn to work on them myself..I actually love doing it ...when I can on MY terms. And my bestest friend is the same way...she is always working on her Subarus too....LeakingOil;)

I know how you feel...I wish I could afford a better one...but I think with all this time, effort, blood, and money..hopefully I will have the show piece I am looking for..the one in Tampa...talk him down....switch to coil-overs ( at $400 a pop for air ..coil-overs sound very very good)..a clutch is easy!....OK so what would we have to sell to get you into that XT6;) I know how bad you want one. And..Guys Guys Guys...what real women want are POWER TOOLS!! .. Thanks for the compliments...I have so much more to do...I have to rebuild the same spot on the passenger side..its 1000xs worse.....sheet metal and pop-rivets are your friend

Its official..the restore work on Damien...oops I mean Rocky has begun.. The first of many rust issues has been repaired..I didnt have to make this repair perfect cause the final painting of the car involves the bottom area Rhino Lined...so it will be textured anyway...I also couldnt resist and show off my new tool..my cordless impact driver:grin: Anyway....(also has a better pic of Rockys new rims and tires...dont mind the fact he is dirty) Before...drivers rocker by rear wheel: The pop-riveted patch...and my impact driver;) finished repair: And Finally...up-to-date pic of Rocky...yes I do love him...he just drives me insane sometimes

OK I will sweeten the pot..once we can set a date..I will get Tommy to make Beer..Dave has tried some of Tommys Beer OK and how about April 28th for a date..its the last weekend in April? -
+1 ...I either get "WOW I havent seen one of those in years" "I Have Never seen one of those before" or my personal favorite " I can't believe the thing still runs...those were Subarus biggest mistake..you couldnt give me one" all on the XT6..And my Loyale just gets laughs and giggles . These snotty New Englanders...but it sure is funny watching them spin off the road in thier Escalades and BMW Shoes ( whever they are..but they look like a shoe) while the very few of us old Subaru owners just keep truckin without many/if any problems
