  1. Long Story..but named after someone a freind knew many years ago..Bucky Fickus..my Toyota Truck we called Fickus (aka Finicky Fickus) and when Fickus died and I got my Loyale my friend started calling him Bucky..and it stuck.3 years later everyone knows him as Bucky:burnout:
  2. That car is CLEAN!!! Very nice !!! It would be perfect if it was 5 spd ( I am the Anti-Automatic person )
  3. Here's Bucky wearing his new hubcaps..doesnt look too bad I think:
  4. I always went 81 to 84 and paid attention to the truckers.. I went 11/15 to 80 once but that was too boring on 80..plus when you drive a Loyale wagon...you are stealth to police
  5. Thanks guys..I actually put alot of hours into these...I hand painted with an artist brush the Subaru lettering in the centers. Will take a pic tomorrow of them actually on the car
  6. Thanks to barracuda I have some new wheels for Bucky...let me know what you think..I wont be able to put them on for another day till everything is completely dry but here ya go: Before: Prepped after 3 coats of white paint: Black then added: And the final hubcap..just needs another coat of clear coat to protect.
  7. A FWD Loyale 5 spd gets fantastic gas mileage..I get 34-38 city and 42+ highway with my wagon. As for reliable...I have never owned a better car then my current 92 Loyale wagon with 197,000 miles..I bought him 3 years ago for $600 and he has NEVER let me sit..had his quirkie moments but they all do. As for winter driving..I run snow treads on the front and have never been stuck or had any problems. I dont know much about the Legacys except that the 2.5 have head issues and at older AT are prone to failure..but thats not from personal experience just what I have heard. Good luck with either choice. Both have thier ups and downs its what suits you better.
  8. Hey..if you want to take a drive next Sat..bring it up here to New Milford CT..I am having a cookout around 1 and 1/we could take a look at it. ( Going to have some very knowledgeable old school people here). I have plenty of extra parts for it...it is sweet.! I love my 92 Loyale FWD..but I have 197,000 miles on it..runs like a champ though. Showed it last weekend at Marcus Dairy with a bunch of WRX people from NASIOC. Sometimes low mileage is more damaging then high mileage on these motors.Would love to take a look at it....plus I want to drool over it:slobber: check out my CT cookout thread in meet and greet
  9. I used "Black Again" on my Loyale last week before the show...the finished off with Advanced Auto Tire Shine....been a week and ALL the black still looks like new..including the tires...working on a new look for my Loyale..might be able to unvail tomorrow if I get them finished.Lets Just say Barracuda had something to do with it;) So where are the pics anyway!!! We want to see!
  10. The GL emblem is just plain out and out awesome!!!Just goes to prove that Old School had it goin on...new stuff just cant compete with the character of the old
  11. My old Partner in crime at work used to live in Newville..I always liked that town. Anyway..we have a spare bedroom with a double bed and a couch if needed..
  12. Very Very Very Nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am debating getting a new paint job on my Loyale to make it look like that again! Ok I am :slobber:

But I can fully understand..little sleep and alot of driving. I live on 2-3 hours sleep...diagnosed super insomnic..Hey I am crabby all the time:grin: .
  14. I just changed my clutch in my Loyale FWD back in Sept....It wasnt totally bad yet( didnt slip one bit but did shutter in certain gears) but it had 193,000 miles on it. But this all depends on how you drive it

  20. I got hone around 11:30 to a fire truck out front blocking the road to a tree down or something..then a few minutes late...no power till 3 am. Oh! Melis I guess I didnt warn you that Rory is a Riot! I wish Linda would have come down though..she is sweet..but she had things to do. Miami Vice is Closed Caption...funniest thing!
