  1. Most likely buying my plane tickets next week..since I had a few people twist my arm about coming out
  2. Those look great!! Definately look better on that then they would on mine. I knew when we found them that you wanted them probably more then me. I will find something else eventually.
  3. wow!! the paint is looking great!! cant wait to see pics of it finished and out in the sun
  4. I have stated this before..and I will again.. you want to know exactly what temp your car is running at all times?? there is a cheap $15 trick that is extremely accurate. I have been using it on my coupe while the digi was bad ..and the new digi is out... Its nothing more then a digital over thermomete..a small digital box ..with a wire and a probe. just shove the probe under the foam insulation for the heater core lines under the dash. Or you can just use it for a tester elsewhere under the hood. There is a group of us using these for a number of different cars. I know exactly what my coolant temp is at all times. You can even set an alarm if it starts getting to warm. I never trust stock gauges.. I have had them lie to me before. And BTW.. my 92 Loyale N/A used to run barely off the C on the stock gauge..even in 100 degree summer days.
  5. Yay Matt and Denise!! I was about to post it on the XT board so you would see it. We can discuss another issue then if you want also. I will have to get Tommy to pick up some fireworks now
  6. That excuse isnt good enough :-p sneak yourself in Robs luggage and come along........I promise no "Deathmatch" will happen......unless its caught on film
  7. well..it is for more then just Brat addicts..its for Subaru in general:)...an like I said ..everyone is welcome. I have always had a pretty good turn out of Subarus in my front lawn..we have knicknamed my cookouts as ECSS ( East Coast Subaru Show) I will PM people closer to the time of the exact address...but its in New Milford CT..almost right on the CT NY boarder .
  8. Rob.. I believe I sent you the email... AutoErotica... Yummmm backwoodsboy and darlingchips chicken..yummmy!!!!!! ( BTW I made wings marinated in "the stuff" the other day) Bump for more people!
  9. Clutches arent that bad to do yourself...I have actually gotten pretty good at it with my 83 coupe. YOu will have to remove the flywheel and have that resurfaced..can cost anywhere from $50-$100 depending on where you go. Make sure the person resurfacing is done by someone who knows Subarus..I have had one resurfaced wrong before. The work can be done without removing the motor. Just get a manual and remember to torque everything back to spec.
  10. I am having my yearly cookout on July 25th for anyone who wants to come...the reason for this date is because we will have a west coaster here that weekend. Turbone will be here for that day and so I thought that would be a good date for the cookout. Cant play around with that date since that is the only day he will be here. Anyone who has been to my gatherings know...lots of food ..craziness..stupid redneck yard games. sometimes even explosives. And all done while being sober ( I do not tolorate fall down drunks ..slightly buzzed is ok though cause my husband brews his own) All are welcome to come..all i ask is for alittle help with food. We got a new grill so ..lets bring on the BBQ! I am located in New Milford CT for those who want to look where its at..I am also kinda out there yet I still have neighbors...one happens to be the police commish but he is super cool. Food Fun and Subarus..
  11. I am agreeing with the others... this car is beyond what appears to be your ability...not that its a bad thing..but if you want a DD this isnt the car for you..it is better suited for a project/learning aid..that can spend time sitting and not being depended on.
  12. I have been toying with the idea of trying to come out for this again. In a perfect world I would want to bring my restored coupe...but..well..its no where close to being done..and it is far from a perfect world. But anyway..still thinking about it and have to discuss it a wee bit more with my adopted PNW family.
  13. I believe you are also correct Tom.. at least every one I have seen..
  14. No..it was determined by trim package..DLs have the dual sealed beams..up until 89 ..when they swapped to the Loyale..then everything was halogen. DLs dual sealed beam..GL etc had halogen.. This all goes from 85-89
  15. Twitch ..you are wrong...thats an EA82 sedan. not an EA81 ..GD is right. DL model EA82s had the dual sealed beam headlights...and also early ones had a honeycomb grill. Its most likely an 85 for sure. I would say $300 is good depending on your area and the number of Subarus around.
  16. Thats looking good. kinda reminds me of my paint job on my evil POC 88 XT6: Definitely a better job then I did..but mine was rattlecanned. Happy to see someone doing this method. Looking sweet
  17. I second this notion... ask me how I know this Just went through the same thing with my coupe.
  18. First thing is to have the battery tested to make sure its good...then go from there. Could be something as simple as a bad battery
  19. EA81 skid plates work on it..just have to make 2 new notches.EA82 skid plates will probably work also. I am using an EA81 one on mine and mine has been offroading. Holds up well.
  20. Or maybe we could just refer to her as the C... and they will know who we mean
  21. I think we should definitely write a letter stating how we feel... I have been thinking about how to even start it. You know we have to keep it as professional as possible. Then lets see what they have to say about that.. make sure the letter states that they are doing a wonderful job of making us not feel welcome. My sarcasm wants me to apologize for not being a high dollar club and not being friends with the Millers. I wish we had that womans name personally
  22. I got my 95 Lego LS wagon for $250. Drive it almost every day and let the 08 Imp sit. Sometimes the cheap heaps end up being the most dependable. Congrats
  23. Its these rims here: I have 5 of them ..I matched my spare... geesh LB looks wierd without his louvers
  24. Thats perfect Bill ... I can clean it up and repaint it.. which I plan on doing to my other one. I discovered this awesome epoxy paint. Let me know how much and a paypal addy etc shipped to 06776. New bumper beam should be here in the next day or so..then I just need that one trim piece ( the long black one) and to stop down and see moosens to get the new guards. Then the tail section is done. Carb is off and will be shipped tomorrow to Jerry for another look see. and I plan on getting the front off within the next few days. Still wondering about how I am going to restore the rims.
