  1. This is looking to be more of a flop for carlisle this year..no excitement ..nothing. Starting to wonder if its worth the 5 hour drive. And I just checked the weather...nice and warm but chance of thunderstorms
  2. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120237798417&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:AU:1123 This is the guy I was talking to about the gaskets... I asked him 3 times and he swares he does have them...I dont know what I am doing with my POS coupe and it is most likely being junked ..so i didnt want to order
  3. I picked up another camp stove this morning ..and some propane. I have a small cast iron skillet too
  4. I wasnt there so who's did you use?? ( I wuvs yoouuuuu)
  5. you seem to be missing the point...you are calling people fools etc yet you have nothing backing up your claims..yet many of us have used the seafoam with results... no one has heard this product you are pushing. You my friend are coming off as a jerk about this whole thing...All we want is for you to post up the proof. No one has heard of this and it doesnt appear to be easy to get. No dealers for it around here...so put your money where your mouth is and give us REAL proof. And you would be really suprised what I know about cars...I am sure I have been working on them alot longer then you. I have also had a 465K mile Ford van and a 550K mile honda.... both original never rebuilt motors. I have owned over 45 cars of all makes and models and like stated..I have NEVER had motor failure
  6. I have been using seafoam for a few years now on mulitple vehicles and I know as a fact it works... and it works on multiple levels...helped clean and quiet my noisy HLAs on my 200K mile EA82. It has stabilized old gas in my 83 coupe and helped it start better when cold and run smooth. I always have a can or 2 on hand cause it ALWAYS works when used the right way. I have put it in the gas tank..added it directly to my oil..and let it be sucked into the intake ( smoke cloud method). And I will say...with the exception of my 08 Impreza..all my vehicles were/are high mileage cars ( close to 200K and up) and I have been complimented many times on how well they run when people find out the mileage. I have NEVER has motor failure in any of my cars. ( my coupes original EA81 blew a head gasket but that was there when I bought it and it was MY fault the motor went bad after the reseal...something must have fallen into it and I didnt see it) And you keep mentioning all these results of the conklin..well post them up!!! Lets see the proof.Where are the links? Lets see all these results you are talking about. I mean..ShamWow will give you demonstration too.
  7.:banana: But I still really missed you this weekend :(
  8. Holly..my 08 Impreza bought in Nov 07 ...now has 37,465k and Ceeci my 95 Legacy ( the newest addition to my herd) is up to 186,XXX k
  9. I just pulled out the tent and stuff...and I am bringing the Hill Billy Golf game!!! I know John and Jess will like that.
  10. Ha the way I feel about that coupe ....it could be sitting out in your field up on its side just like Rocky. And once its gone..I dont even want to see it again....unless it is in the shape of a small cube. So you planning on running the Brat over foofy haired Datsun lady this year?
  11. Congrats John!! Will be nice seeing that Brat again. So when are you going to take this POS coupe off my hands?? ( seems all my cars go to John)
  12. I will make some sausage peppers and onions if you guys want..and was thinking on picking up another small charcoal grill. Right now I am only thinking about Waffle House grits
  13. well either way I was planning on giving money out ..to either you matt or to Jess for spending so much to try and get us the 25 cars. Oh and I am text messaging Jess to let her know about the problem
  14. We have been talking on the side about food ( Jess Neo and me). I think we are bringing some burgers and stuff...and John has a grill..I might pick up another one though. And neo and I have though about introducing ya'll to some Brazilian food..( coxinha..yummy!!). Will have coolers with water and stuff too.
  15. since I went from driving EA to EJ ( Ok I jumped to an 08..first.. but still) I have to say... I love my 95 legacy wagon...parts are easier to get..the motor is bullet proof ( its still non-interference) It handles off roading just fine...you pull the suspension and body lift blocks off an outback to lift it. The ride is 100% better then my EA series cars. Nice and smooth and it never seems to struggle to do 75+ on the highway. Yes they are a bit heavy..but extremely capable. The gas mileage could be better in my opinion..but I was spoiled ..my 92 FWD 5 spd Loyale would get 40+ mpg highway..and my 08 Impreza 2.5i 5 spd gets about 32 mpg if I dont mess with it too much. But I think the price is high...I picked mine up for $250 and it needed a tranny...had everything but leather heated seats ( which is fine..I dont like leather anyway) and it has 182K on it. a couple of us offroad our 95s and we go everywhere the jeeps go..but like I stated..ours are lifted slightly and are running bigger wheels.
  16. I agree..sometime new IS the better deal..it was for me... was looking at a super low mileage bugeye OBS when I got my 08. The bugeye was $14K ( had 8K miles) they wanted alot down and big interest rate.. yet I got my 08 for $18K with a super low one and little down...and I could get exactly what I wanted on it and not settle for something someone else ordered. Congrats!!
  17. I am going to start cleaning up the cars this weekend...sorry but still leaning towards my Impreza since its flawless and the Lego has lots of bumps bruises and scrapes and is really dirty on the inside ( like seats need shampooed). But I can still feel the hatred for my Imp. I hear ya Matt ...I have been driving my legacy more then the Imp. especially since we fixed it ( wheel bearing one week....radiator the next). I drove my Imp for the first time today to run to the bank and for about 10 minutes I forgot how to drive it ( Doh Imp is a 5 speed )
  18. I wish I could afford the new tires so I can put the new rims on my Lego...they are huge! Or maybe I will bring them along and put them on at the show...one of the tires has a nasty sidewall slice on the inside..but it should be fine to let her be parked on them or to go to the campsight and back
  19. I am still deciding which car to bring..the Lego or the Impreza...the impreza will be easier to clean up...plus it hasnt been driven in 2 weeks
  20. I will be getting there late Friday morning also..and leaving early Sun morning.
  21. When I bought my 08 Impreza back in Nov of 07 there werent any incentives on them ..the economy was good and they were too new ( I was one of the first handful in my state to buy one) . I went in and told the dealer what I wanted to pay and what I wanted my payments to be....this is what I wanted on it and this is how much I have down. They said they would see what they could do and the next day I got the call telling me they would make the deal. I thought long and hard about how much I could honestly afford ..including insurance. I was looking at a super low mileage bugeye OBS wagon at the time also...and the better deal was going with the 08. I would suggest you think hard about your budget and how much you can spend before jumping into something ( been there/ done that and have the repo to prove it) You want to be able to afford the car payments..easily. Dont be pressured either...stick to your guns and 8 out of 10 times ..withing a day or 2 the dealer will call you back and make the deal you want.
  22. my vote is for control arm bushings...I just watched someone go nuts replacing everything else..and the problem all along was a leaky bad control arm bushing
  23. Neo and me thought about taking the girls to the Barrens before and bringing them covered in mud hehehehehe BTW I might be soloing it to the show... if we cant find someone to watch the dogs...Tommy said he will stay home.
  24. I absolutely adore my 95 Lego...even though it got the 4EAT..but thats how I picked it up so cheap $250 ..needed a new one..put a new one in and now its pretty much my daily driver and I keep my 08 Impreza home ( trying to take the mileage off it). Its an awesome highway cruiser and comfortable as anything. Now I personally like the looks of the 95-96 legos better then the gen 1s but thats just me. I moved up from old gen cars to new gen and I will never go back to old gen for daily driving. And the EJs are a dream to work on. I have even checked a code on the fly with mine. and we do the same thing..take the ABS fuse out when off roading
