  1. 1. 29mpg all city....32-36 mpg varied city/highway. 2. 08 Impreza 5 door 3. SOHC 50,000 miles 4. 5 spd 5. Castrol GTX or Dealer serviced 6. factory roof rack cross bars, and factory rock guard. 7.Stock but seriously due to be replaced 8.Driving style varied.
  2. I thought about doing the same as moosens... not registering and just stopping by for a few.. then going to see my daughters.... but my money is tied up in going to the Botcon Convention in FL the following month. Hope y'all have fun!
  3. those look nice.. I was thinking on getting a set as an addition onto my molded stock ones ( cause I like the lines of the stoke ones instead of just being flat.)
  4. I still have the cruise parts I took off my coupe sitting around here somewhere If you need anything for yours let me know..
  5. If I do come down..it will only be for sat..and it wont be to show anything prolly.. The coupe will never be ready ( as i had the money for the paint job but it had to go to something else) But most likely wont be there.. Hope y'all have a great time.
  6. as of right now.. I dont know if I am going to make it.. I dont have anything to bring down as there is no way the coupe will be ready...and I wont bring my Impreza again
  7. I am going to wait before making me mind up.. I am planning on looking at something in the next few days.. and if the price is right and I can swing it.. I may be heading away from the Vintage Subaru thing... Dont know yet. ( Looking at a restored Datsun 280ZX.. one of my original dream cars) Plus I cant commit to anything since who knows if the coupe will be anywhere close to finished.. I dont have the time to deal with it honestly.. its sitting in pieces and on 3 flat tires.. need trim clips and such to even put it back together right.. its stripped of pin-striping and all..was trying to get it ready to go out for paint and bodywork. 4 months is not enough time to come up with the money ..or the time to have it ready.
  8. I am up for a maybe.. depends on talking with the crew..and if my coupe is ready...not going to bring my Impreza down again.
  9. The display on my new Sirius head unit is in Pink... but otherwise.. no.. Tumble is good the way HE is.. remember Holly is a She ..so she can have pink..,, But Tumble does sport this with pride:
  10. They just seem to be pretty rare everywhere..especially the early models like mine. Tumble purrs like a kitten..doesnt burn any oil..and even with the big tires...gets damn decent gas mileage. I will keep my soft top... I happen to prefer it..even on Jeeps. Its not that noisy and only takes a minute to remove and put back on. Plus its just me beater car..I am not planning on putting any real money into it..just normal wear items.
  11. I also had a 75 Silverado that was just amazing..beautiful condition too..no rust..got it at auction for $300 cause it needed a driveshaft. Always love the old Fords and Chevy trucks.. I didnt realize how much I missed driving a truck ( its been 8 years maybe since I had my 82 Toyota longbed) I havent driven my Impreza but twice since I picked up my Amigo. Looking forward to seeing the progress on that.
  12. That is a great set up!! 390 beasty motor C6 best tranny Ford ever made. Looks great!! Love the old Fords.. 2 of my 3 tow trucks were 74 Ford F350s ( the other was a 75) ..OK my one Tow truck..a retired AAA truck and my Rolly were 74s..both with that 390. Trucks did things that they werent meant to do..and never grumbled one bit. Congrats!!
  13. Thats all I do.. rub some oil on it.. then gently tap it in with something flat...take your time and go in a circular motion..and in it goes..nice and easy. So when are we having a Car Party at Steves??
  14. Steve do you need me to come do it?? I am actually good at doing the seals....without the tool... its only when I allow others to do it that they get messed up...hehehehe
  15. remember.. I cut mine off ..folded and beat the opening over..then welded it shut...
  16. Steve.. I have the light surrounds and another radiator for you.. As for the bumper..guess what.. its sedan and coupe specific.. ask me how I know this LOL.. so I guess I need to go back on the search for another rear bumper ..LOL h BTW .. the stuff I have for you is donated..no cost.. I will see what else I can come up with too.
  17. well.. I have a pair of headlight bezels..I have to see if I have the turn signal lense for you..if you need it..
  18. 91Loyale.. When I was "thinking" of junking my coupe..it had more then electrical issues..the motor was shot and so was the tranny. ( tranny is still shot) Not everyone looks at a car as being just a mode of transportation either. Call it what you will..everyone is entitle to thier opinion. I have my junker car ( my Amigo) yet I still take pride in it and dont want it to look any worse then it already does. I personally dont care to be seen driving around in a wreck..call me vain or whatever. Steves pics are still hard to see the full extent of the damage. I am sure its actually worse then it appears. I know Steve, I would have to think, very well ..he doesnt sugar coat things. Even if he did/does want to fix it..its his only mode of transportation and I would think time is of the essence.
  19. Problem would be finding the replacement panels around here..Last EA81 I have seen in the JY was about a year and a half ago maybe. I know where STeve is coming from right now too... Its the only car he has to drive since 1. The camaro sux in bad weather.2. Too much invested in the Maro to let the elements get to it.3. Lack of space. I think I would strip it too..the best you could do is just make it usable and never as nice again. I think I have an idea on what you have your sights on and I would go for it too.
  20. I prolly wont offroad it..if I do it wont be much.I am using it to keep miles off the Impreza. Its got 110K miles on it..and my friend already compression tested and all and said the motor is 100%. Its a good runner thats for sure. I am happy with it...especially for the price..how can you go wrong? As for rust..LOL.. We drive Subarus.. isnt that almost implied in the name (Subarust?):)And come on...we just ended up having a new frame put under my husbands 2001 Toyota.. I didnt think I would like it as much as I do. If it survives this winter I may invest some into it. OH Beast.. I believe it does have the dana 44.. I know its heavy Duty.. been to cold to really get into it right now.
  21. Sorry to see that Steve. And I dont want to be a vulture... but if you want to sell parts.. I might want your rear bumper since every other lead I have has been nothing but a dead end.
  22. Yes I bought it.. cant go wrong for $250. Truck is awesome!! Took it out in the worst of the snow and it was so much fun. Best off.. I finally have my true lifted rig. Only downfall is the locking hubs. Its slow..noisy..had hail damage.. and some rust..nothing major....its PERFECT ( to me) New Exhaust, fuel lines, and 32 inch tires!! Its a 5 spd too!!!! Cant wait for it to warm up now so I can take the top off. I dont care what any y'all say bad about them.. I really love this thing. Oh .. it has air suspension in the back and needed topped off when I took the pics cause it had been sitting in the garage since Aug.
  23. Uh . NO! .. LB aint for sale..LOL.. actually my friend I bought my Amigo from is planning on coming back to CT permanently ( Yay!!! Happy Day) and we are going to go to town on LB.. he is hookin me up!!
  24. This really sucks Steve.. if you want.. we could try yanking the frame to somewhat straight with my Amigo ..I have the tow straps and all. ( Plus I have been having entirely too much fun playing with it the past few days... This thing is about unstoppable)
